I made up a new word. :)
Philosorgasmic
When you combine philosophy and sex you have philosorgasms.
Have I had one? I do believe so. When lover engages and stimulates your mind to the point that you just have to fuck right then, right there. Loudly.

So, I have no idea where this thread may go. But I am curious as to what you think about this new word. Have you had a philosorgasm? Can you inspire a philosorgasm? Are you philosorgasmic?

Am I off my rocker? Perhaps. But it is an awfully fun place to be!

Yeah, I've been there. But the library isn't the best place for sex. Not even the stairwell.

I can be philostimulated, but never got to a mutual philosorgasmic state of readiness.

*still looking for the right philosophess*

Philorgasmic?

Isn't that wrapping your lover in philodough and eating it off of them saving the best for last?

And for some reason I thought it was all about you

Weel, we were discussing astronomical physics, y'know, how the Universe manages to stay together, trying to theorize as to how a collision of two stars would affect the nearby bodies...

Philodough, sex, AND philosophy..... :D

*LMAO*

There is a scene

In Woody Allen's "Love & Death" where Diane Keaton and this guy are really going at it with philosophy and she finally rears up and says "Can we quit talking about sex all the time?"

hehehehe

Sounds like an exellent neologism.

:)

Which one is it where he's talking to the girl on the balcony, and there's the subtitles of what they're actually trying to say? Same movie?

I do to. :) It's got everything in it. Humor, Satire, Sex, Beautiful Women, Love, Death, Philosophy, Insanity...

Ever notice about the film and how many "idiots" and insane people are in it?

It's obvious that Woody Allen thinks we are all insane idiots. I think he's right too! LOL

I don't know if I've had one. I do know that I've "caused" them.

But that's just me.

Ishmael

Ishmael, for some reason I am sure you've caused them!

And Riff - We are all insane idiots. Woody is right. And as soon as everyone accepts this, we can all be happy. (While having philosorgams of course!)

I think, Greeneyed girl, it would all depend upon your definition of both terms. I suggest you don't mean "philosophy" in the sense of Whitehead and Russell, Moore, Austin and Ayer. Perhaps not even Ludwig. Analysis is death to sexual excitement. On the other hand I know students who got so fucking bored with them, they never studied, only fucked.

Who are the "sexy" philosophers? De Beauvoir, Sartre, David Lodge( does he qualify), Gabriel Marcel [for me] and the moderns I've missed out on - Lacan, Derrida, surely.
They can get the heart beating faster, true.

So what do you mean by orgasm? The female orgasm is so different from the male, I imagine it is possible, if not likely for women more than men. If you mean the total mind blowing thing where you feel your minds have fucked and merged... Yes, yes, yes....but with an impelling urge for physical congress still crying out for satisfaction.

One of those situations where the girl comes first, turns over and goes to sleep content.

I'll leave it there.

I like the term, GEG. It makes sense to me. If a lover doesn't stimulate my mind, she won't be a lover for long, that's for sure.

One of my best friends is a woman I went to grad school with. We used to spend hours talking and arguing about the stuff we were studying, the projects we were working on, etc. I'd always leave these sessions incredilby aroused, and I could tell she was, too. She once said that our arguments were like having great sex. I've never had sex with her, other than the philosorgasmic kind. For one reason or another, we never got to the point of ripping off our clothes and going at it, loudly.

Some day, maybe....

Too bloody true, Hamletsmachine. My point entirely - it's so satisfying for the girl and it leaves us blokes with genetalia like giant puff balls.

Some day, maybe....

There are too many “some days” and too many “maybes” in life. All too often when the day arrives, the opportunity is gone. I think I’ll cast my vote for “Cautious Spontaneity” and her running partner “Minimal Regrets”.

Eh--well, I've always been excited by a congruence of mind between myself and an attractive, otherwise interesting person. In the realm of philosophy, since it deals with such deep and meaningful beliefs, these similarities can become even more intriguing. I've never had a philosorgasm, but I believe it's more from lack of opportunity for a good fuck while being so stimulated, than from inability to be so stimulated.

I think you have just defined my ideal state of being.

Can we fuck and mindfuck?

Can we suck like a seer?

Can we kiss like Kierkegaard?

I want a hummer the Hume way!

Engage my mind and my body will follow.

That's cleared it up then for us, Chef.

It's either a wink or a fart, "Come on, get off!" as the bus conductor said to the drunk, lest there was any misunderstanding.

This is exactly what I am talking about. I am not talking about philosophers, Free, I am talking about intellectual congress. I am talking about a meeting of the minds that is so intense that you either douse your panties or become so hardened that sitting becomes painful.
Often I have had amazing conversations with people whom I had not thought of sexually before, and mid way through the debate or conversation I was so turned on it caused a heightened focus on where we were intellectuallty because my sex was also stimulated.
A whole new definition of Mind Fuck!
