Where do you think MRA's and feminists fail most in understanding each other? Each side seems to think the other is a hate group. But that's about as far as the relationship goes. Thoughts?

Under the assumption that MRAs and Feminists each consider the other side perpetrators of hate:

Failure to empathize which results in a stunting of understanding is one of the primary issues. To combat anything–say, for instance, hatred–one must necessarily give attention to those which they believe spread the hate, but not solely in the sense of studying and forging solutions for their supposed victims.

If they believe that the other side is chiefly filled with hatemongers, and therefore shut themselves off to empathizing with them, they will forever fail not only to comprehend them, but likewise to achieve the best outcomes with the least resistance. Compassion to avoid desensitization is absolutely vital.

Excellent article & topic.
I don't always practice what I preach, but I noticed that too.
We All tend to think that the only way that people could see the world is the way we do, and that there's only one universal truth. Therefore, whenever someone else comes with a different pov and we don't understand them, we tend to demonize them.
Nevertheless, you were referring to the extreme imoral cases, of course. But a bit of understanding their pov also helps, as you (I think?) imply.

Some people are so hateful they should be demonized.

But it's not hard to understand where these people come from when on one side you have a society that punishes men for failing to reach a minimum socioeconomic status (the spiked floor) and whacks women for getting too uppity (the glass ceiling).

So while I really despise radical feminists and liberally slam them to hell on here, I also slam Conservatives who feel women are some lesser cut of meat or pass laws that make it so you have to answer to your employer when you try to buy contraception on your health care plan. Both these groups are tearing us all apart.

And I don't like shock jock MRAs like deadbeat dad Paul Elam who goes around saying shit like "acquit all men accused of rape", either. Women are and should be scared of rhetoric like that...
