On your first meeting with someone you find out ...

TDLR. play with handcuffs and swipe his hat.

Well, my initial reaction upon realizing would be an internal flight response, as I spent my younger years, well let's just say my relationship with police was not built on fundraisers. However, that internal overreaction of discomfort or panic would in itself be a turn on, so he would then become much more interesting. I would also quickly realize that I've never screwed a cop, so I'd kind of want to. Then, soon after, I'd, of course, want to play naughty cops and robbers and similar themes with his gear. Then I'd want my turn to be the cop too, of course. Shortly, the novelty would wear off, and we'd just be left with ourselves, which likely have nothing in common, at which point, I'd probably steal his hat on the way out the door for the last time.

That’s the whole fuckin thing tho!
I, too, want to play with his gear!
Like all the gear.
Ima wear his belt in the buff, I wanna make the siren go on and off. I wanna play catch me if you can.
And yeah, Justa wins with the hat swipe kill move.

I was thinking about morticians today! Because of this thread!
Was trying to come up with an occupation I’d refuse to date.
I thought, “Undertaker?”
Quickly followed by, “Fuck yes; I have so many questions.

But the make up 🤣🤣🤣
right, they might have some really interesting stories.

I’ve absolutely given a blow job wearing selected items from his fire fighter’s uniform.

Very Nice. I've never screwed a firefighter either. Once my bonfire was so large that someone driving by called them. Had a crew hanging out on my property for a while. Found the tales of the hottie firefighters much exaggerated compared to the reality of the Bumblefuck Florida volunteer fire dudes. Maybe I just need to set more things on fire during different shifts though.

Or while traveling?

I didn’t initially do a deep dive, as I was concerned that it would get this bumped to the politics board. Seeing as that seems to not be at risk, I‘d like to clarify a few things.

While I understand and acknowledge the increased risk of domestic violence from LEO’s, that isn’t the primary reason for my aversion. It is my opinion that in its current state, the police system in America is immoral. Anyone that intentionally and actively works to perpetrate this current system is morally incompatible with me. I can think of few better reasons to avoid close relationships with someone than moral incompatibility. Clearly, my morals are my own, and I’m not attempting to decide for anyone else who they should or should not become involved with.

I would also opt not to enter into a close personal relationship with someone that worked at a conversion camp, lobbied for the NRA, organized child beauty pageants, or organized anti abortion campaigns. The good news is that those people wouldn’t want to hang out with me, either.

If I were a vegan, I’d likely not date a cattle farmer or a butcher. If I were ardently opposed to a woman’s right to choose, I‘d not date someone that worked for planned parenthood.

I have met LEO’s that were polite and pleasant to me, and I have been polite and pleasant to them. My unwillingness to engage beyond that does not stem from fear for my own personal safety. However, I am fully aware that many Americans are policed entirely differently than my middle aged, middle class, suburban white woman self is. I think that as a nation, we can, should, and must do better at ensuring equal justice under the law. Anyone that supports the current system, with these current levels of injustice, and works to perpetuate them, is not someone that I would ever want to have a close relationship with. Period.
I love you

It's in the Playground, under Personals.

And it's about who you would or would not get personal with in your playground.

It's been interesting to see the lengths people will go to not admit they are generalizing and/or discriminating. A little "hmm, I never thought about it like that before" can go a long way.

We've seen a lot of statements about domestic violence being higher in relationships with police officers but the best support we've seen for that is that someone has done reading and/or research but doesn't remember the numbers. I got a little curious about this and Google exists, so...

There aren't many studies that came up on a quick Google search. The two that did were both 30+ years old and selected poorly. One stated 40% and the other stated 28%* of police officers will commit domestic violence to an intimate partner. That's disturbingly high, but...

Other studies in domestic violence indicate that 35.6% of women (and 1 in 9 men) will be the victim of domestic violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. 25% of women have been and will admit it. Again, disturbingly high. Also, not wildly out of line with two poorly done, incredibly old studies.

I'm not going to pretend a quick Google search is perfectly correct or that you couldn't find studies that show other numbers, but these were the first things I've read that weren't just "I did some research once."

*This study also showed that the wives of police officers were more likely to commit domestic violence than their partner. The study was so old, however, that they assumed all police officers were men and none of them were gay.

Also, to answer the question, it wouldn't stop me from talking to someone, no. I'm not a huge fan of the police these days, is anyone, but I don't believe what we see on the news is the majority of officers. I think we need a whole lot of reform, far better training and recruitment, and a fundamental change in how the police responds, but I'm also certain there are many officers who feel exactly the same way and potentially who I'm talking to is one of them, so I should find out for myself.

It's not the job, it's the person behind the job. And to get to know that person, you have to talk to them.

Blanking someone simply because of their job is rude and presumptuous.

I'm just going to leave this right here...

Accountants Voted Best Between the Sheets

I'll save everyone the obvious Excel spreadsheet humour and note the odd and not so common profession of butcher is on the list and dead last. There is likely one butcher on this website, had one off night, and they are forever cast into this unfortunate role.
