My great friend [size=+2]freddie 
[/size], brilliant raconteur and runner up two times in the LITEROTICA Survivors Contest, died at 11:15 a.m. on January 17th 2010.
He died in his own bed in his long time home in his beloved Boston. He’d been released from hospital after his long illness just days before Christmas 2009. His many friends had been overjoyed to learn how well he looked that Christmas. The ashen tones that had colored his skin for months had finally been replaced by a healthy color. His deep rumbling laugh again echoed through the halls of his home. We all thought he was well on his way to full recovery.
How were we to guess that the two people that had been engaged to care for him, the despicable susie q and the bald, hulking, baby faced ralphie, would turn out to be such criminals.
How were we to know that the letters of reference that they’d produced were counterfeit lies.
How were we supposed to know that the names they supplied us with were aliases, names stolen from other innocents they’d previously killed?
He’s buried now. He has a simple marker set on a slope of a quiet cemetery. And if you’re ever in the Boston area I invite you to visit the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts. He’s buried in a section of the cemetery known as ‘Authors Ridge’. Turn right at Thoreau’s stone and continue past Emerson’s and Alcott’s. He, and his beloved rat terrier, are nestled in a small plot just before Hawthorne’s. He’s now resting among his peers.
Yes, it’s true! These fiends weren’t content to kill off one of LITEROTICA’S giants, they also had to kill the poor animal that had been freddies best friend. They killed his dog! Can you imagine? And now, with freddies stolen computer and passwords in hand, these bastards brazenly walk among us.
All I can say is FUCK THE BOTH OF YOU!
There will come a day when you will face your maker … I suspect the two of you will burn for a very long time. But I'm afraid that it won't be before, unfortunately, you ruin even more themed contests.

Being that I'm alive and well (cough, gasp, wheeze), kind of, not really, not at all, nonetheless, the report of my demise is premature.
Besides, I'd never be buried in Concord. That's where all the rich WASPs live. I'd rather be buried in Boston.
I'd have a simple 12' tombstone marking my grave with just the words THE END. Of course, on the back of the tombstone, I'd have them list all of my more than 1,000 stories and poems. I don't think the stone would be large enough to list all my characters, though.
Oh, and if I was to die and had a choice where to die, the last place I'd die is in bed.
I'd either die in my office writing a story or behind the wheel of my Ferrari or Bentley.

By the way, Scouries, old chum, dear pal, the "family" story that I posted under SuperHeroRalph for the Nude Day contest, Mother's Nude Day Sexual Fantasy is just under 12,000 words and not 800 words.
My second "family" story, Siblings Get Naked for Nude Day that I'm posting under SuperHeroRalph, is about the same size, too, just under 12,000 words and not the 800 word story that you think I write.
I'll be posting a Nude Day story every day and in all different categories for the length of the contest. I figure that should give you something to rant and rile about.

We all make mistakes, my friend. Sometimes I'm just too naive. I'm just here to write stories. I was never here to play games, until I was dragged along by others using me for their benefit.
Now that I know more of the players, I take them for who they are. Still, nothing has changed the reason why I write here. I'm just here to write stories and hopefully become a better writer.
If you know of a better site than this, I'd be happy to leave here to go there.

Just as your little ralphie stories don’t even come close to master freddies your posts fall far short of his too.
I notice in your numerous responses to my post you didn’t address the questions I raised – i.e.
1) what about your lack of red H’s except on stories you’ve turned the voting off on;
2) why, for such a critic of the Incest genre, you always start every contest with one;
and 3) why you show so little respect for our readers by not even rereading your stories (let alone editing them) before submitting them…
And then there’s the big question: Why do you (and your pal susie q before you) flood these contests with stories?
And no I don’t want to hear the feeble argument that this is a story site and you have the right to enter as many stories as you want. No one is suggesting that the site limits the number of stories you can submit – as far as we’re concerned you can enter 500 unedited 800 word stories a year if you so desire – instead we’d like to see you show some respect for other authors and our readers by simply limiting the number of entries you make in the themed contests.
The man you’re pretending to be would never have abused others like you presently are – he instead believed in fairness, in sharing, in integrity, in being a friendly member of the community...

We all know that this site has nothing to do with great stories or talented writers, but more to do with popularity. Most of my red H's have been erased numerous times and the only reason why I have any red H's at all is by turning off the voting before the bashers erase them. Does that answer your question?
Why do I flood the board with stories? Actually, I don't flood the board with stories. The only time I post stories are during the six theme contests. I only write contest stories.
Yes, of course, most writers write one or two contest stories, so why do I write 20 or 30 contest stories? Because I can.
I forget more stories than I write. If I had more time, I'd write so many more stories.
Now about me not editing and/or reading over my stories, that's just not true. I spend hours writing, developing, reading, rereading, and editing my stories. I write the best story that I can before posting it. Besides, we both know that you don't read my stories. You just bash my stories, something that I wouldn't do, even to your stories.
Nonetheless, nothing you write matters to me. I'm just here to write stories. Writing stories is my way of growing and developing my writing skills. Perhaps, if you wrote as many stories as the mean number of posts you write on the forum board, you'd be a better writer, too.
You are a good writer, Scrouries, but I'm better than you. I am. Why that upsets you is beyond me. I don't bother you. I don't bother anyone. I just write my stories. Yet, I've had to endure a 4 year long shit storm to do something that I so love to do.
I'm sorry that you don't feel the passion that I feel when writing. Maybe if you did feel something other than anger and hatred, you'd understand why and how I can continue to write my stories even when they are mercilessly bashed by people like you.
It doesn't matter. You don't matter. What matters is the story. It's all about the story. The characters that I create need to get out of my head. Once free of them, I can focus on the new characters and the next story.
It's obvious to me that you're not a writer because if you were, you'd respect the talent of the writers who write here, but you don't.

My story is submitted.
It was tricky to find the contest page. The Literotica front page still displays the "Earth Day" contest information. Has anyone else noticed that?
This story ended up being 4 pages, and I cut a little to make it fit that. It's one of my longest. I have another story that could fit the contest category. The other one is currently broken into three chapters because I thought I would try my hand at a longer format. All together, it would be 9 or more pages. Is that too long for the contest? Do I understand correctly that I can't submit chapters to the contest even if I submit them all to the contest?

Yep. That was the whole purpose of the no chapter rule -- eliminating 20 chapters of the same story competing individually in the same contest.

I don't write many shorts, but because of that rule, I wrote a short story. It's my first contest story in years.

And we're off. Finally submitted it, the hardest part was giving it a title. I always leave that last, hoping that it will pop in my head by the time I finish. Since I'm submitting on day one, I might break my old record of 100 votes and nine comments.

Well a few hours in and it's going well so far, so that's nice. As I expected, the incest story is getting good views, but The Day the Earth Stood Nude has a much better score. I personally feel it's my favorite so far...

How is anyone finding the contest stories. There is no link on the front page. It still says Earth Day. The only way I can find the contest page is to manually type the URL.

You claimed you receive royalties from Literotica. Could it be that you don't know the difference between what royalties are and what Literotica contest winnings are? (Yes, it's quite possible you don't know the difference, since you really have screwy ideas about other aspects of publishing.
If you don't know what royalities are, you certainly couldn't give me--or anyone else--any useful advice on the popular market. But that won't stop you from giving the advice, I've found.)
