Painting has resumed!

Work was done in the Mario Room yesterday, but it was mostly touch ups and marking character spaces. Nothing big enough for photos, and a short day since my friend is still recovering.

I wish, but it is getting closer.

There are still more Bloopers and Cheep-Cheeps to do, plus koopas, underwater blocks and coral, a hill, piranha plants, clouds, 1up mushroom, and can't forget Mario and Luigi.

Also there's the whole strip of info at the top of the screen that we're doing on the wall with Mario. Level info, lifes, score, coins, etc.

Once all that is done and the flag is mounted the mural will be complete.

Well Im in college, I like playing and watching sports (not very nerdy i know) but I can definitely geek out on sports. I like playing games mostly console games rather than computer games ( I was playing a lot on and old NES a couple of days ago), i just havent gotten used to the the whole mouse key board thing, I like to be able to grip the controller especially when it gets intense and im gripping it harder and harder. haha And the most nerdy part of me is the school side I love learning new things and i hate failing whether it be on the exams or loosing on the field. I dont know if this translates exactly how nerdy i am...but i am trust me.
Do you guys think i sound nerdy enough for this thread?

There are a couple nerdy threads, but I think this is probably the most popular when the nerdy are around

I wouldn't say whore yourself out per say, but it is a good place to run into nerdy girls and start up nerdy convos which may led to other things.

Up front nerdy proof is not required, it is encouraged and helpful, but not required ^_^

Love to join the nerd club.

Programmer-type here with a total disinterest in sports or hunting, and thus unable to communicate with 98.5% of my gender-mates.

Would much rather read a good book, or figure out some new gizmo.

And I've always been attracted to other nerd-types as well. For some reason that little bit of awkwardness & self-consciousness is so much more attractive to me than the over-confidence/arrogance of the sporty types.

lol It's getting closer! I've been told when I have my unveiling party I'll have to have Super Mario available for playing in the room.

Because we're getting so close to the end this is currently the only place I'm showing off the room.

Previously I was posting the pics on my FB, but I don't want all my friends to be able to see it all done online instead of in person

I can't take any credit for this work. All I did was splash up the blue background paints.

After that it's just been a joy to watch them work, but I'll pass on how much the results are being enjoyed.

By the way, what will that room be used for eventually other than loooking at the walls?

It's going to be an entertainment room essentially with the ability to be a guest room if needed (futon).

I'll be rotating in the 32 inch flat screen in my living room when I buy a bigger one for my living room. Then I'll hook up all my gaming systems, set up some comfy seating. There will be a small fold away table along with all my table top and card games for any game nights. Also a mini-fridge stocked for any gaming related events.

Currently I don't plan for the Mario theme to come off the walls and my pre-existing nerdy/gaming related pictures will be going back up as well at this point. Everything is also designed in case I decide to move any pictures or rearrange furniture in the room. So there won't be any wasted space, but an interesting scene change if things move.
