wait, there are NEW dragon quest games?!?!?!

For the Nintendo DS.. and a couple spin-off games called Dragon Quest Joker.. they're Pokemon style games with all the DQ monsters. It's actually kind of awesome.

They re-released, with improved graphics, a lot of the original series, and then brought out #9 on DS.

The DS is really worth getting. I love mine. Play it far more than I play my PSP (when I remember I have handheld consoles at all) But there are some really great titles on the DS (especially by Square Enix). I stopped buying Nintendo products after the SNES, switched to Playstation 1, 2 and now my broken 3 which I need to send off.

I did buy a Wii and a DS and do not regret it, fun systems. All my "hardcore" games are on the PS3 though. Except Monster Hunter Tri, which I do enjoy. Good Wii game

I'm a 28 year old guy stuck in the teenagers body. Always loved video games and music. Garage bands? No - classical music. Spent 8 years learning how to be the best possible at performing the french horn, and constantly claim to be the biggest music nerd I know. Is there a girl out there for me? Hmmm, maybe this will help just a bit!

Welcome to the thread Mr music nerd :)

I have not, what kind of game is it?

Its a lot of puzzles and stuff. Like math puzzles, and riddles, and just random things like that. But there's a story involved too.

I'm a collector when it comes to video games. I need to complete it 100%. And this is one of those games.

I just realized something. If your marine is a sub, is he a submarine? (I'm hungover and cannot be held responsible of my bad jokes)

And if the submarine serves a Dom and a nation, does s/he serve domNnation? Yeah, I'm not hungover and have no excuse ... Please forgive .... Forgive!

Do you know if there's any way to get old anime to be shipped to Mexico? Sadly, the last time I had the opportunity to buy such (and with that I mean Robot Carnival and similarly aged stuff) I had to be in Japan to get it. As it turns out, I'm not someone who randomly nor frequently goes to Japan... I wanna show Lodoss War to my fellow gamers who play Pathfinder with me. :D

Well, you should just get yourself a Japanese friend to ship it to you then ;)

I'm thinking that my friend changed his mail address. Fuck.

Also. Disney's The Black Cauldron is never coming back in a classic collection our whatever, right? :( I'm thinking about downloading that movie since I can't get it in mexico but I can get pocahontas 2 (and that's insulting, if you ask me).

I guess I am a nerd with contradictions. I love to read, and I have been known to finish some books in one sitting.

I am also a TV nerd. I have never found an interest in any of the Survivor/big brother/American Idol/ whatever reality TV shows are hot right now. With the exception of NCIS I don't watch regular TV. I can be found on history, discovery, DIY, military, A&E, or any of a number of strange channels.

The contradiction comes that I also love sports. Cycling, American football, baseball, hockey, any number of traditional sports. I also love the Olympics and many of the sports that we in the US are not exposed to unless we actively seek them out.

I don't think that's so much of a contradiction. There are different kinds of nerds, which makes that group of people so much more fun to be around.

If nerds were unaccepting of other people, then they wouldn't be nerds. They would be really quirky "jocks" and "cheerleaders".....not that jocks and cheerleaders are all bad, but...you get what I'm saying, right?

The JQAS is proof that there's a significant overlap between sports fans and nerds.
