I did some wii boxing against my sister yesterday and now i'm totally in the gaming mood. I just need a ps1 memory card and i'll get to play all my favie games! Too bad i'm too broke to afford one.

lol, Invite me over, I have like a dozen old, useless PS1 memory cards nobody here uses anymore. :p

I wonder if I still have my old memory cards...I got rid of my PS1, but kept a few games, mostly the Final Fantasy and Tony Hawk stuff.

good deal! i've used mine for many years and never had a problem with it. quality purchase at any price, if you ask me!

?

i've used mine for my game system and dvd player, so it got a lot of use, but it's still going strong. *knocks on wood*

I thought I heard someone say that some systems could handle it and some couldn't. Just like the 3s being backwards compatible. I bombed on both. *sad face*

ah yes, i never really looked into the different versions when each system came out. i basically just got whatever was on the shelf at the time. but don't be sad, you are now back in business!

Do you ever find yourself subconsciously getting closer and closer to the screen during a round of Wii boxing? I'm sure many flat screen TVs have gotten damaged from that...

I was! And then I started to lose, so I punched her in real life. Yay for karate lessons! :p

lmao, When my nephew comes to visit and we play anything competetive on the Wii, particularly swordfighting on Wii Sports Resort or Go Vacation, he'll move up constantly.

The kid is all action and needs to be tethered back or else he would jump into the tv mid-match. :D

remind me never to play Wii Baseball with you!

You can play all you want....just let me win :p

I really hope it was a Falcon Punch.

It was a jab to the ribs.

I love the 8 year olds moving with Mario. Constantly telling them to sit down

Evening nerds & nerdettes :) (And geeks too, I suppose)

Evening!

that's where there might be a problem. i'm a big fan of "playing against someone better than you makes you a better player." hence, no easy wins.

lol, Well my nephew is only 6, but it's all the same.

He's sometimes hard to play, because he's all offense and a wild kid when he gets going, so he's hard to figure. :D

I usually let him win just because I'm a good uncle and I'll have plenty of time later in life to stomp his ass at videogames (plus he can be a sore loser sometimes), but sometimes he'll legitimately get me just because he'll attack me 400 times rapidly in a row, lol.

When we play super Mario wii I let the 4 kids play and they all throw their wiimotes at me at the same time to help them.

My niece and nephew are the opposite.
Most the times, I'll try and help them or show them controls and they refuse to let me do anything to help.

They are pretty darn good for kids. But its the lava levels that they need help on.

I don't like letting people win in video games. I don't think it helps them at all. My son can't beat me at Mario Kart (and racing games are one of my weakest gaming abilities, just above Sports games). He felt the need to hack all his Diablo 2 characters to catch up to me (despite me helping him whenever needed, either by upgrading his gear or by joining in to slaughter monsters together).

He's better at the current RPGs than I am, like any of the current Dragon Quest games. This makes me proud :) (especially since I loved Dragon Quest/Warrior as a kid)
