Me to Democrats:

Americans are fed up.

You're ideas are old and tired.

People don't buy your official campaign of lies and fear.

You embarrassed yourselves in MN by pissing on Wellstone's memory and showing your true colors.

You bring nothing new to the table, yet call yourselves progressive.

Take your smug arrogance and go home. There's a new sherriff in town. If he fucks up, we'll fire his ass too.

Seems to me that the Democratic party doesnt have a monopoly on smug arrogance..

I'm disappointed that Gore and Clinton didn't campaign in Georgia, but it turns out we didn't need them.

People find significance in the most trivial of events. Never ceases to amaze me.

Trivial? Hardly.

I'm just happy that Tom Daschle is now the afterthought that he deserves to be.

At least now our country might get some judges sworn in.

Whatta DISASTER!

The election results are nothing less than a disaster for our appointed White House resident!

I mean, here is a man (in the loosest sense of the word) who has made a career out of blaming his shortcomings on other people...and now that his party has control over both the U.S. House and Senate, his options for blame placement with regard to his gross mis-management of the American economy are severely limited! He will literally have no one to blame but himself! (In theory, anyway)

Having said that, though, I think our feckless leader will continue to perservere in his quest to undo the eight years of peace and prosperity that Americans suffered under the previous administration.

I'm just curious as to the point of this post. So the Republicans do well in the elections and then you feel the need to gloat about it? Seems to me your post would have been more appropriate BEFORE the election.

And Chris Matthews believes the loss STRENGTHENS Hillary's chances in 2004 and Bill's power in the party because they were the ones out campaigning when everything was lost.

Now, when Bill began his campaign to crush the right, he had control of BOTH houses.

I see victory there. Don't you?

We were gloating [and posting the same thing] before the election. This was a HISTORIC event. The President's is supposed to lose power because Americans are supposed to ADORE a divided government. As the Post and the Times have told us REPEATEDLY...

We?

Well, if gloating about winning some elections makes you feel better, by all means, continue.

I'm actually happy to see the results of the elections. But that's only the first step. You have to remember that Republicans are politicians too, and there are scum bags on both sides. So when they take office and start making improvements, then I'd say its time to gloat. Until then, they haven't done shit either.

51-49 control of the senate is a definite landslide. Yup.

Don't count South Dakota and Louisiana before they hatch.

And I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of Dems crossing over in the next few months.

Zell Miller for one.

I fully expected that if the Senate broke down to 50/50, McCain would switch sides. Now, at least, we shouldn't need to worry about that.

McCain's going to become a REPUBLICAN?

All due respect to his service years, but...

McCain is insane!

I couldn't have said it better....:)
