This has probably been mentioned a few dozen times but never gets old. Most of us have undoubtably "fallen" or developed a "crush" on someone on the net. I know I have. Would be interested in hearing experiences--both good and bad.

Beck-

I met a guy on here a year ago, it developed into an online affair, i am engaged in real life and he lives with a his girlfriend.

My fiancee does know about this, we have an open relationship..internet only though. He as well has an online gf. We both aren't into sharing IRL. I'm quite content in all aspects of my life with my fiancee, as he is quite content with me LoL But the online affair with the guy i met on here, just happened, i realized hey, i'm pretty into you, and he felt the same. It's not been easy though, He's in England, I'm in the U.S-but we make it work and although my fiancee has my heart, and i have his, my englishman has a small piece of it too..it is what it is. We have no plans of meeting IRL. We both know that one day, it will end. But until then, we're happy with what we have been lucky enough to stumble upon with eachother.

*Gets off podium*

Thats sweet. I think online relationships are a bit easier than IRL b/c you are not having to be face to face (unless u use a cam). The caviet though is b/c you and him are in front of a computer screen it may be difficult to really judge one's true personality. Also if you really fall for that person you have to stop and think is it him or her or just the persona. All in all I will say when it works it works and if it doesn't well then you can chalk it up to a learning experience.

I'm glad this isn't a bad experience..i've seen and heard the ugly that a bad experience can cause..especially on this site.

Guess i got lucky:cool:

I'm not sure if i'd ever do this again though.

You in a relationship online Beck?

Yes. You could say that. There is going to be some bad with the good. Thats life.

Not really experienced it. I've only ever spoken to one person on here for any length of time to get to know her (assume it was a her haha) but haven't spoken in ages. Turns out I'm no more a catch on the net :D (where's the *fishing* smiley)

Yeah. Well you never know how something is going to turn out. I usually keep a positive attitude.
