Monday fonday, right? ;)

After you've been around lit for awhile, people can get a "been there, done that" attitude. It's only natural that we refine our wants & needs as we move through the maze of Lit. Early days are often "any where, anytime" periods before the novelty wears off. But through it all, how do you keep Lit fresh and worth coming back for. How do you make sure it doesn't get stale, boring, or repetitive?

Not so much a bump but an experiment to see if the weekday, daytime crowd has any interest. This is the time if day postings plummet and I wonder if once it gets buried no one sees it. I'll give it a whirl!

For me, the novelty has worn off, I think this is about the only thread that interests me. Except 3Things and the Question thread where I actually have to put myself out there. I know everyone comes down hard on the GB, because you're right, they are mean. But at least there are fresh threads everyday.

You calling me fresh? ;)

I find being on a few RP helps keep it fresh as you are doing something new often. Threads like this help where discussions are encouraged not shouted down and squashed on.

This and a tantalizing tautogram once in a while, some banter and I am fine.

Having only visited the PG since September, it's all still pretty fresh. I mainly hang in the word game threads and some of the poster above you ones, but if I see someone who I know has a take that doesn't suck posting on a thread, I am likely to stop by

The place is only as interesting as the people in it. Currently there are a few very smart, interesting people hanging around. Mostly on this thread but other places too.
Lit isn't really anything to me but a gathering of people. When there aren't any interesting people or conversations then there's no reason for me to be here.

Stale and boring are easy fixes, just keep coming back and visiting new threads. The constant churn and turnover of members or active posters insures variety. Repetitive is harder though because the forum and threads have been around so long it becomes more and more difficult to be original. Vanity of vanities, it is all vanity...there is nothing new under the Sun.

Well said MOS. *quietly applauds in the corner*

i don't worry too much about keeping it fresh. i check in and if something interests me, great. if not, i'll be back another time. i think that expecting too much from a place like Lit is maybe a sign that you need an RL interest check. know what i mean?

I currently wear RL polo black cologne, does that count as a RL interest check?
