Meh. It is what it is. At least I didn't try to walk through the General Board. I would have stayed away for good!
*snort*
Aye, it's not for the faint of heart that's for sure

Happy Saturday!!!
We heard from the grammar police the other day. But let's wade into a more delicate subject: sexting/cybersex/online play. What advice would you give to the newbie whose about to venture into this realm?

Have a great time Dutch! i remember fondly my days off in the wilderness. Though it was mostly with my son and boy scouts... spent many birthday's in the woods with 350 some odd young boys and some 100 or so men.... oh the fun we could have had with some of those men..... sorry mind wondered a bit..... have an awesome adventure.
Can I pose a question...
This has come up recently and it seems that I am in the minority here among RL friends and family.
So how do you sleep? gown, jammies, nothing at all... boxers, briefs, t-shirt...
Good Sunday morning. Good to see all my American friends surviving the holiday weekend. Surviving or thriving. If you had to choose between those two words for your Lit experience , which would you choose. You can use any definition you choose for the words, just explain your selection.
For me, I say thriving. This thread keeps me actively engaged and I enjoy the friendships I have made.
Happy hump day
As summer time rolls along headed straight into the dog days. The pace slows a bit, vacations are more prominent. It got me to think about posting in lit. Posting for us all ebbs and flows, typically around RL stuff but does online also I pact your tendency to post. In an online relationship, do you post more or less? You see something funny/cute are apt to reply? If someone posses you off in a board, do you get the flame thrower out or just walk away ?
It's apparent that my typos have become rampant as of late. Nothing kills a good thread more than an OP with a bad case of typos. I'll try and be more diligent with my typing (or is it thumbing if using a smart phone).
Which leads me to my topic: how much are you willing to put up with someone online. More than RL? Are you willing to accept a guy who appears basically intelligent but with a bad case of typos? What about a less than intelligent person with perfect key entry skills? What about brains over brawn? Nice but flighty? An asshole but funny?
Let me clarify, I'm not saying you have to use punctuation perfectly or double check it. As long as you at least put in some effort into what you write.
I'm not a grammar nazi.Just a regular nazi.
(Just a joke, I'm not really a nazi, I'm not even German.
Another joke, I like Germans. It's those je... no can't make that joke. I'm already in enough trouble. Shalom, to all jews. I like you too.)
Quick question - did you jump right into posting on Lit or did you lurk for awhile first. And if you lurked, what was the trigger that got you to start posting. My hunch is that many of us lurked trying to get the lay of the land.
Happy Saturday!!!

Very first things that come to mind:
Be careful! Be mindful of what information you share online. Don't feel like you have to respond to anyone or play at anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, you can set boundaries! If you are doing this without your significant other's knowledge, make sure you are vigilant about logging out, closing windows, and being incognito. Have fun, explore, try new things. You never know when something you never imagined will make you swoon![]()
