Nothing is wrong with the Czech stop... but up until the fireball, thats all west was ever known for. As soon as I heard the news, thats all I could think of... and I think I only had something from there once.

I have family that lives there and I'm retired. I could stay for a few weeks if it was anytime in July. As interesting as I might find it I don't want to crash the party as I think most here would rather I didn't.

It's all good....I'm here and family drama is a fuckin' foot so I'm prob not going to have much time anyhow.
Mom wants to do South Padre, Gangy thought we were doing Big Bend (BB at BB LOL), I thought we were just hanging out at Gangy's house for some BBQ and pool lounging....none one knows wtf is going on, I'm just here for the ride along. Classic cluster fuck....nothing like family.

Yup, still have to deal with the occasional visits/get together's and or holidays. Which get all put into one usually. Either the 4th or Christmas...west coast or Texas.
But it's controlled doses....you go into it expecting and prepared. Get that dose of family love and GTFO, see you in a year.
Yep....we still do something semi family oriented though.
No......September is still brutal. At least in Austin....it doesn't start really cooling down until late October-mid November. I think my last Christmas here it was like 83F . Jan-Feb you might put a hoodie and pants on for a few weeks, Mar-Apr are nice..May-Oct it's summer

*all weather-related predictions about Texas are generalities, and subject to change without notice. I've personally seen it go from snow to short sleeves fast enough that said snow hadn't completely melted yet. And this week has been like a tiny slice of heaven in the middle of our usual hell.

True and in the past when my plans to see Al in Texas in Sept get messed up by a certain texas biker lawyers nasty hurricanes tend to show up. Maybe I should get my Al fix somewhere else like the UK tour in October.
