Lit-Together in Texas?

I frankly have no idea where most of you are, and I suspect most of you are very far away from me. But for those who are also enduring the oppressively hot, sweaty affair that is a Texas summer, any interest in finding a venue with crisp air and fine drinks?

Off the cuff idea. Haven't chosen a spot yet, or even a city. Depends on where the majority of interest lies.

I created a false alarm last time, but this time looks to be different.

I've been offered a chance to go to NYC next month for a birthday present, so there is the chance I could be out there in mid July.

Sadly, Austin is the only place I would really go in Texas, and nothing to do with politics. It's just my best friends have relocated there, so if I spent the money going down there, it'd have to be close to there.

Sadly, Austin is the only place I would really go in Texas, and nothing to do with politics. It's just my best friends have relocated there, so if I spent the money going down there, it'd have to be close to there.

If we do this in Austin, I'm dragging your ass to the capital rotunda and making you endure the entire spiel on how beautiful it is (by me; I'm a fucking excellent tour guide; I once was spontaneously given half a school on their trip to the Alamo because I knew more). And then we could throw rotten tomatoes at Governor Perry to muss up his bouffant bangs.

Please come to Boston.

Hmm, I've heard of Paris, Texas, but not Boston, Texas. (Another city I visit regularly, because of family.)

I do have friends that I could stay with in Houston.

Plausible venue. Houston has loads of great spots.

RedRose had set-up a Lit-Together in Dallas. I was able to stop-by for a limited time since we had prior plans. It was a blast. It depends on time and place!

DC is always a good choice, but Dallas has a better chance since it is a Texas gathering!
