Dude, that's totally my boat right now! I'm struggling with whether or not to stick it out (we have about 7 more weeks of school here -- we're on a trimester system), or just take the rest of this term off. Damn it's a tough decision.

I've had the real jobs for long periods of time with no benefits and no vacations. I might be going back into one instead of finishing school.

dude... i've got the rest of this week and finals next week. i'm so absolutely sick of doing this stuff though. to hear 4 weeks or 7 weeks, sure that's a lot. but i've got less than 2 weeks left. and i'm so absolutely sick of it all. i just want to go to bed for a few days (when the roomie isnt here) and sleep. and then maybe i wouldnt mind going to class for a little bit longer.

*lol* That's what I did! I had about 2-3 weeks left of classes, and I just said "Fuck it all!" and 'disappeared' for a few days. Didn't answer the phone, e-mails, nothing. Didn't go to any classes. Seems a little strange, and kind of like shooting myself in the foot, but I didn't miss anything super-important. And it made the end of the semester that much more bearable!

Thank God I'm almost done finals... My last one's in about an hour. I can't even bring myself to care. *lol* Sad, isn't it?

six hours in the lab and i finally got much goddamn experiment working. it's beautiful i tell you just gorgeous.

so now i only have 4 papers (one of which must be in spanish... oh joy... i mean ¡qué alegría!) 2 presenations and a portfolio to finish... and then exams start. oh well. a week from saturday i'll be done and two weeks from today i'll be in california again... where it isn't snowing. i just have to keep reminding myself of that.

I've been tired of this semester since it started.

These classes and term papers are giving me grey hairs.

But we're almost done! Right now, the party after exams is my only incentive.

Find an incentive. It helps, alot.

I got back the video dailies for my 16mm film today, and the footage looks not only good, but better than I could have possibly hoped. Now I just need to edit it to Grammy's soundtrack tomorrow afternoon, and maybe remix the sound.

On my other project, I've got a few more months of when-I-can-spare-the-time work, animating three more scenes. I've got about four minutes of footage rendered out already, though, and a rough test I did last night proved that I can morph images right inside my 3D software, using the method I'd been toying with in my head.

College is too expensive to not like what you're doing.

Mind you, in class I watch hours of crappy experimental films, like the one today in which a man made his puppet shit sausages, or hours of Matthew Barney's alternately exhasting and unconstructively unsettling "Cremaster" series. And I seem to have been put in charge of coordinating the end of year show again, somehow, but oh well.

Oh, and I'm with Celestial on the drinking issue. Lot's of people don't drink excessively in college. Not MY college, mind you, but we're... special-
