Go check the western sky for the early peak of tonight's Leonid meteor shower. The other one will be an hour or so before dawn, and should be better (but the moon will make it harder to see the feint ones.)

i will be watching from my tiny circle under the moonlit sky...

Damn it. It is way overcast and likely to remain that way.
Grrrrrr........ someone better make up for this, and in a big way!

i was just getting ready to log off and do that. the big peak here is at 4:00 in the morning so i'm afraid i might miss that.

Cloudy and wet here too. We'll just have to sit and listen to the wet "splats" as the fall.

Peak viewing time

for us is expected to be at 2:30am. And tomorrow night, a lunar eclipse.

I'll be stumbling around in the horse pasture -- it's plenty dark. If cold, at 38°F. (Yes, I'm whining. I've got Florida-thin blood.)

peak hour is saposta be about 4am, an its now 940pm. my azz has gota be at work at 630am. i dont think im going to see this. an not only that but its freakn cold out!! but if any1 is going to see it, enjoy.

Ugh. Not good.

I'm getting increasing cloud cover form the East. It's about 1/5 of the sky now but building. It's not bad, but it's enough to obscure the faint stars right now.

Way too cloudy here.

Isn't the Leonid annual or semi-annual anyway? I could have sworn I saw it recently.

oh my giddy aunt!

I'm seeing shooting stars, baby!!!!!!!!!!!

Even with the light pollution and the slightly overcast weather, I could still see them.

Nature so fucking rocks, mothafucka!

back to bed now.

I'm in the cloudy and rainy Seattle...... but I didnt even know about this meteor shower...... and will still be taking a look to see what I might be able to possibly see....

yeah, that's where I should be this morning too. *sigh*

I went out there. In my robe and boots, no less.

No more either.

It's 19 degrees on the thermometer. And cloudy.

So I got my personal weather report and the dog got to pee but the meteor show will have to come another day.

I just got back from watching the "show". My boy and I drove out to the beach, laid an air matterss out on the sand, and proceded to freeze our asses off. Well, my son cocooned himself and I got to freeze my ass off. He is still out in the back of the truck in the driveway and I am in here nice and cozy. Back to bed for me.

And yes, nature is grand. I certainly enjoy it more now with my boy than I ever did as a child myself.

It was not so good here, lots of clouds obscured the view, unlike last year!
