I was there at the end of September for my 20th h.s. reunion. I didn't get down to Hollywood though. I was in the Valley.

I did eat at Gladstones that visit though. Such a beautiful view and the food isn't bad either.

Funny, but every time the weather gets really nice here (warm with a cool breeze, and some actual moisture in the air) I miss New York.

Yesterday, in fact, I found an old "Billy Joel Mix" tape I made in the mid 80s and stuck into my car cassette deck. I had a long drive down to Santa Monica, and played all these old Joel songs I'd forgotten about ("Big Man on Mullberry Street", "Rosalinda's Eyes", "Vienna", "I've Loved These Days", etc.), and soon found myself in a serious New York State of Mind.

Now if I can just get my old turntable to work I can play my old 45s and relive the 70s.
