How many Pagans are there?

I suppose someone has already mentioned this, but Muslims/Jews are NOT pagans. Pagans are people who belong to a religion other than that of "The Book." Therefore, those without religion (for example atheists) are not pagan either.

I would definitely classify myself as a "neo-pagan."

*waits for the bashing to begin*

I always expected Pagans to be more earth tones than neon.

But Hey! to each his own.

pa·gan
n.
1. One who is not a Christian, Muslim, or Jew, especially a worshiper of a polytheistic religion.
2. One who has no religion.
3. A non-Christian.
4. A hedonist.
5. A Neo-Pagan.

adj.
1. Not Christian, Muslim, or Jewish.
2. Professing no religion; heathen.
3. Neo-Pagan.

Atheism, though literally "without religion", is a belief. Sometimes I call it a religion, sometimes not. But it does fit within the technical definition of "pagan."

I just want to breifly pop in to proudly announce that I am Asatru. I beleive in the Norse gods so I would say I am pagan.
