How many Pagans are there?

I don't know what the entrence requirements are. Is there a standardized test?

Hmm...the only requirements are 1) an ability to get naked in front of others 2) a strong sexual drive 3) a need to worship nakedness.

Send me your resume, I'll take a look at it and let you know if you fit the requirements.

Or the blood rituals, can't forget about those. I haven't picked up the latest fuel economic broom stick yet. Is it any good? I've been considering replacing my Dance Naked in the Moonlight stick...it's quite the fuel hog.

All religions have been created in order:
1. to give people someone else to blame for their own fuckups
2. a crutch to lean on when they can't cope with life
3. fear of the finality of ones own death
4. to raise money
5. to allow the deeper thinkers something to contemplate beyond their navel, ie the whole "spiritual world"
6. to fulfill mankinds passionate desire to believe in something that is better than this
7. to fill the need to believe that our loved ones are not only happier/better off gone, but they will now watch over us and keep us safe.

I cannot think of a single religion that does not have one or more of these principles at it's core, but I could be wrong.....

I hope so, I'd like to be able to believe one day......

I tend to believe that religions are a major crock as well. Still I generally dislike the ones that are oppressive and controlling and like the ones that are individualistic, and liberating.

I could be neo-pagan on a good day.

I consider myself a Heathen... and a bit of a hedonist on a good day :)

I like that :)

Hedonism is a religion I could definately get into!:D

i am... a me-ist. *nods* Which means everybody else is wrong! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!:D

Actually, it just means i got fed up with the Christianity bullshit that's been force-fed to me most of my life and decided to be a very eclectic solitary pagan.

I'd probably say I'm Neo-Pagan

I believe in the strength of the earth, but I also believe in strength from above.
Science can explain some things but not everything.
Faith can explain other things.

I believe it should be a mix of everything. That you can't have one and not the other. But then again.... I once went into this rant on the universe....

I find myself to be in a state of...change. Raised Christian...very holy roller christian...now after years of questions unanswered in ways that I don't understand...I have decided to embrace paganism. It pre-dates Christianity by quite a ways...and I don't think there is dogma associated with it. Openess and equality seems to be the way of paganism as far as this neophyte can see anyway. I am learning my place and finding my way...slowly but surely where I want to be.:)

:::raising hand:::Wiccan here...since 1983. I don't hide the fact that I'm Wiccan. No reason to. Even at work, I'm open about who I am. My Lady and Lord take care of me.

Thing about being pagan

We are all new and learning. There is never a limit to what can be comprehended and absorbed.

Independent spiritualist here whom enjoys ongoing learning from a variety of world faiths.
