Which means of course, a major snow event is right around the corner.

Good morning friends. Mid 50's here today and a warming trend has begun - at least for the next week. Warm day and cold nights means that the sap will be running and it's time to tap trees. I've also been hearing singing birds in the mornings. The signs of spring are upon us.

I've to think that the crocus and daffodil bulbs will be poking their heads up soon too.

Got my trees tapped yesterday. It's the freezing nights and the warm days that get the sap flowing. It should take off this week with that weather.

I'm going to combine my two hobbies this year and brew a Scottish Ale using maple sap and maple syrup. Maybe add some oak and vanilla too, as I think about it
