Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow, so he's calling for an early Spring. Spring comes on March 19th this year, instead of the normal March 21, so he seems to be on to something!

Well if the MJO loops back to phase 5/6 as forecasted and....... the AO/NAO stay positive as forecasted and..... the PNA goes negative it might get warm early.

BUT I think it goes back cold 2nd half of February.

Because I see the MJO pushing into phase 8 by mid February that's a cold signal.AO/NAO going negative then and the PNA positive around them too.
But we'll see just my opinion.
