Hello From My Englishness

Was going to PM an answer, but forgot you have them off. Generally doing ok. Food wise we are managing and have Morrisons delivery booked for the coming two weeks. It appears they are not allowing any more time slots. I’ve logged in at varying times, including just before and just after midnight when they added a new day, but states fully booked.

We will get by if the morons stop buying bulk they don’t need. The most ridiculous one I heard from a Tesco checkout person was a woman trying to buy 14 large bottles of Comfort fabric conditioner. Security had to be called when she refused to move until they sold it to her. She never got it or the rest of her shop as they ejected her.

You're on my list now :)

Fabric conditioner? FFS. Where has the common sense gone...

This thing is going to show the very best and the very worst of us.

And today was told one of our carers brother managed to get a small pack of toilet rolls and a few other items. Put them in his car and went to another nearby shop. Came back to the car to find it had been broken into and the toilet rolls stolen. Never touched anything else.

Seems eerily quiet in here.

I hope this is the effect of children being at home and not that everyone has been taken poorly!

Stealing loo rolls, honestly, that one definitely falls into the 'worst of us' category.

Conversely, a note was dropped through my door offering to leave a bottle of wine on the doorstep if we were running out

About two weeks ago (maybe even three now) once all the loo roll panic buying started, I saw a guy walk into McDonald’s and lift a pile of napkins, calm as out put it in his carrier bag, walk downstairs ... then picked up another pile on his way out. I shit you not.

I’m serious considering buying alcohol at this point. Fucking medication. Curse you!

Loo roll panic at Costco has subsided, full shelves today and an empty store.

I’ve been trying to get a delivery slot from ASDA/Tesco ... couldn’t get one for Tesco until April 13! ASDA ... I got one for tomorrow (no others). Now, I’m buggered if I can get back on to add a few bits.

I had a phone call from a cousin in Canada, all our family spread out over there are keeping well, which is good.

I just had conversation with a friend in the US, promised to keep in touch more often. It’s bewildering how easily we lose track of time and don’t contact, even though we are more connected (supposedly)

Today I started arranging the next reunion :D Bookings to made the day this is over. Last one, we had a mansion in Bristol, this next one we'll need a castle:D
