If you had to live in another country (other than Canada or the U.S.) for the rest of your life, where would you live?

England is too cold and rainy. I would probably get massive seasonal depression.

France is France do I need to say more.

Mexico might be ok if my Spanish was several times better and I was very wealthy. I could own a small resort on the beach or someting.

Australia is where I would go. They have great beaches, weather, except for the whole UV problem, and people.

I would not go to Japan. I don't want to be a ganjin for the rest of my life and I could never learn Japanese.

New Zealand

I picked other. Saw the LotR, that was good looking. English language is a plus. I have the impression that Australia is too hot (hell, if I wanted somewhere with a fire season, there's always SoCal). I like lambchops--I believe they gottem there in spades.

London's great except for the weather.

France--David Sideras has adequately pointed out the problems with language, and much funnier than I ever could.

No Ireland?
No Denmark?
No Russia?

Those would be my choices, with the truth being I would prefer to travel continually.

Ireland because I have history there and feel I would become comfortable. Plus I can fight the British Protestants out of Norhtern Ireland on general principle. I enjoy grass roots terrorism.

Denmark because I am hung up on the culture, for reasons that are unclear.

Russia because I am intrigued and sometimes recognize my Russian soul. The chaos inherent there at this time may be exciting, though terribly frustratin to see such a people continually suffer from poor leadership.

Chile

Beautiful, safe, wonderful climate, clean, lots of water (coast, lakes, rivers and streams) and an excellent standard of living.

The language is not a problem.

You beat me to it.

Punk.

Canada!

I have always wanted to live in Quebec, Canada. That is where my roots lie.

Your reading license is revoked!

It really doesn't matter as long as my requirements are met.

Requirements

1. White sand
2. Palm trees
3. Warm weather all year long
4. Blue water

If I have those things, I'm sure all the rest will fall into place.

London

England most definitely because of all the great music bands there.....

but scott man look so nice....

PFSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTT i can vote on your thread na na na :p :p :p

im saying england because im voting for lisa ... even before she knew me she wanted to live in london for awhile to see what it was like ... so im voting england because london :)

I say Australia, it's as close to America as I think I'm going to get in terms of personality. England is way too stuffy and into being English.

sexy-girl, I don't care about your posting habits. Although more capitalization is good, not mentioning Lisa is even better. Why? It just smacks of insecurity. From what it sounds like, she'd never run away from a hottie like you. And I DO hope she exists.

Dejanu have you ever met Demian?

New Zealand- geographically they've got it all : glaciers, a volcano, fjords, hot springs, green pastures & fern forrests, one of the highest waterfalls in the world- it's the prettiest place this side of Middle Earth. The people are great, the climate is mild.

They don't have the dangerous creatures that infest Australia.

My 2nd choice would be Germany. Love the food, the beer, the architecture, the museums, the dogs, the family I have there.
They don't have the speed limits that the Kiwis do.

The trouble with it is that the amount of cigarette smoking reminds me of 1960's America, and it seems more over-crowded than New Jersey.

My first thought was England, but I'm not sure. I loved London when I was there, but the fact of them driving on the side of the road they do, puts me off. I don't know if I could ever get used to that. But then, if I were living in the city, I probably would not be driving anyway. So, England.

and you're constant criticism smacks of jealousy :p ... i mention her when I want too ... i thought it seemed very apt to mention her in this thread considering shes canadian and living in another country (i thought that was what this thread was about) ... and because she was in the room at the time i was on literotica and talking with her

seriously i apologize if it bothers you that i mention her sometimes although i think you are over exagarating how much i do ... but im not willing to change my posting habits because you dont like me mentioning her ... we're a couple and she does read the board and post on here (although not that often) ... so its natural her name is going to be mentioned by me

So, England.

woohoo you can go on the wheel with lisa and me :)

Nowhere else in the world, unless they adopt the Constitution, and Bill of Rights!
If they did, it would have to be where I can ride without a helmet, carry a gun, and have sex on the beach!
Until then, I'll stay put. :D

Oz

Initially my choice was England, but I decided to vote for Australia. I've met so many Australians here at Lit, and I would love to travel around that vast continent and visit them all. I enjoy their friendliness, concern and their humor, and I'm pleased to be known as an "honorary aussie" (at least on the Personal Board!);)

Scotland. Been there a couple of times and fell in love with the history, land, and people.
