Emma Watson is facing online backlash after claiming “some of the best feminists I have encountered are men”.

The Harry Potter star launched the HeForShe campaign, which aims to promote gender equality, at the UN last September, and while she's been inundated with support ever since outlining her plans - her recent comments have been hit with criticism by some.

Speaking to the UK's The Guardian newspaper this week, she said: "Women are just as guilty of discriminating against women.

"Some of the best feminists I have encountered are men, like Steve Chbosky who directed me in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and director James Ponsoldt who I am working with at the moment [on The Circle]. Some women can be incredibly prejudiced against other women!"

Hey Emma, women are also guilty of discriminating against men, too. But hey, who am I to interrupt the lesson being taught to you here - when you mastermind a new movement calling for men to serve women and be women's minions, you inevitably find out that this bullshit hurts women, too. Such as INFIDELS who dare to go off the feminist rails and say that women can be evil, too.

Welcome to feminism, Emma Watson. Hope that backhand didn't mess up your sunny disposition. And remember, it wasn't delivered to your face by men. It was done to you by feminists. Enjoy!

I'm confused. Why were these people pissed off by her remarks? Some women ARE guilty of discriminating against women, and some men ARE very feminist.

Because the mainstream feminist narrative is as such:

Men=100% bad evil bone-throwing perpetrators
Women=100% good sweetness and light victims

That is why you probably don't even know that rape is reported in 30% of lesbian relationships and lesbian abuse is proportionally on par with male-on-female abuse and abuse among gay men.

Women=100% good sweetness and light victims

Or that's how many choose to see it. I wouldn't say that the people who got pissed at Emma Watson necessarily represent mainstream feminism.

They represent the mindset of the people with all the media power and the political power in the movement.

Trust me, she got burned by more than these people on Twitter. She lost some valuable donors from this row, too. That's guaranteed. The feminists with media power and political power do not say good things about men - not even the male feminists.

This is the shit that they say on secret forums where they don't think people can see them:

These quotes came from Radfemhub and were spoken by women in the media, politics, and other high profile parts of society: lobbyists, no less.

THIS is why Emma Watson got burned.

That's odd, because by far, most of the feminist narrative I see isn't of that mindset at all, and it's not like I go looking for what I find.

I think thay she might have made these comments as a reaction to the black&white view of some Radical Feminists: "Aka most women are good versus most men are bad." (stressing again 'Radical', as opposed to moderate feminists).

Although I don't fully agree with her statements (I personally think that prejudice/meanness are equal-opportunity beasts, and I personally encountered, in my lifetime, as many bitches as jerks)
- I personally welcome her comments: they open the dialogue and force us to consider other perspectives, too.

The twitter storm is baffling: they're so stuck on how she packaged things instead of carrying on from where she started. But I've seen that happening on occasions with your threads, too.

Come on, now, you don't see this at all?

Now what I like in particular is this widespread feminist rage over "Not all men are like that"
http://time.com/79357/not-all-men-a-brief-history-of-every-dudes-favorite-argument/

while at the same time feminists will scream "not all feminists are like that" and expect us to accept that argument while they want us to reject "not all men are like that."

Hilarious. Feminists have no sense of self-awareness at all...
