E. Jean Carroll to sue trump for sexual battery under new 'adult survivors law'

Trump declared his guilt in the Access Hollywood tape and exhibited his behavior for all to see both before and after that. He's a skunk. When he does his thing, no one with common sense has to wait for the autopsy to come in to know he's a skunk.
Trump made a legal confession to specific crimes on tape? Where at, I haven't seen it?

the access Hollywood tape. he assaulted women.
that's why team trump fought so hard to keep it out of the trial but were refused:

In the video, Trump tells Bush about a failed attempt to seduce Nancy O'Dell, who was Bush's co-host at the time (circa 2005) of the recording:[13]

I moved on her, and I failed. I'll admit it.
I did try and fuck her. She was married.
And I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, "I'll show you where they have some nice furniture." I took her out furniture—I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn't get there. And she was married.
Then all of a sudden I see her, she's now got the big phony tits and everything. She's totally changed her look.[7]

Later, referring to Arianne Zucker (whom they were waiting to meet), Trump says:

I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful—I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the pussy. You can do anything.[7]

these are examples of sexual assault and the whole 'furniture shopping' thing flies in very close comparison to his attack on Carroll in Bergdorf's

Trump says women will let you kiss and touch them. I fail to see how a woman letting someone kiss and touch them is in any way assault? If somebody lets someone kiss or touch them, that's the very definition of consent.

Nice opinions. Good luck not being ignored

Iggy for being tedious, obtuse and trolling.

Noone can give credence to anything Trump says. He thinks a bus is a locker room.

Trump is not contesting the case any further; his only witness had dropped out. So that's it, he'll claim that the verdict is rigged (much like any MAGA defendant who doesn't produce any evidence in their defense). So stand by for another pointless appeal and requests for five bucks to help pay for his lifestyle.

'rump Rushing Back to New York to Salvage Defense in Rape Trial

"I have to go back for a woman that made a false accusation about me, and I have a judge who is extremely hostile," Trump told reporters in Ireland.

Then again, maybe he just got ejected by the Irish.
i read he'd been invited to attend some trial there to do with one of his properties... something to do with removing the portion of fencing he'd installed remaining after having to remove the rest earlier. Something to do with affecting how the sand travels and formation of the dunes being affected. He'd actually complied with the requests to remove the earlier portion and the people involved wrote him a very polite letter asking if he'd attend this latest episode of it all. So i'm thinking the rape defamation trial is just his excuse because he cannot be arsed with the little people.

Of course, it is his right to appear in the civil case against him, but i'm not sure where that stands now given his lawyers had declared he'd not be attending and they'd not be calling any witnesses.

his lawyer says 'no'

“I’m going back to New York. I was falsely accused by this woman, I have no idea who she is – it’s ridiculous,” Trump said, according to the Irish Examiner. “I’ll be going back early because a woman made a claim that is totally false, it’s fake.”
t just can't quit lying

On Twitter, the Daily News’ Molly Crane-Newman put it another way: “Asked if this is happening, Trump’s lawyer Joe Tacopina said, ‘No.'”

he's been granted 3 days...or until Sunday evening...to decide if he intends to appear as a witness

Former President Trump on Thursday was given three days to decide whether to testify in his civil trial over writer E. Jean Carroll’s sexual battery and defamation allegations against him.

A new update shows the court granted Trump until 5 p.m. Sunday to file a motion to reopen his case “for the sole purpose of testifying as a witness in this case.”

if he doesn't file, the court will continue as usual with its next steps Monday morning.

caught by the stenographer, there was a small conversation between Judge Kaplan and tacopina, over trump's claims in Ireland and Scotland about returning to appear in court after tacopina had said he wouldn't be appearing:

Just before Tacopina’s remark, Judge Kaplan made clear that he didn’t believe Tacopina was misleading him over his client’s decision.

“I’m not implying dishonesty on your part,” Kaplan told Tacopina, according to the transcript.
“I know you understand what I am dealing with,” Trump’s attorney Joe Tacopina told Senior U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan during a sidebar conference on Thursday.

trump's video deposition:

In video of Trump's deposition released Friday, Roberta Kaplan, an attorney representing Carroll, is heard asking the former president that for stars if “it’s true, that they can grab women by the (expletive)?”

Trump replies: “Well if you look over the last million years that’s been largely true. Not always, but largely true. Unfortunately or fortunately.”

fortunately? realllllllllllly? what is a jury supposed to make of that, hmmn? there IS no place for 'fortunately' in this. ever. except, it would seem, in trump'smind where it's just acceptable, normalised behaviour.

Former President Donald Trump rejected his last chance Sunday to testify at a civil trial where a longtime advice columnist has accused him of raping her in a luxury department store dressing room in 1996.

Trump, a Republican candidate for president in 2024, was given until 5 p.m. Sunday by U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan to file a request to testify. Nothing was filed.
liar liar lies again, of course

such a weak-arsed excuse to leave Ireland and Scotland early; what a shitty thing to do to stand up and lie to people's faces. anyone surprised? newp.

So he didn't show up.

A con-artist to the death, he couldn't resist saying that he was going to testify but nobody was fooled (except people who were already fools but they don't count).

The case is now shut, he'll be found guilty as he's presented no defense. Much like his court cases claiming election fraud.
Stand by for more appeals on Lies Social for more contributions towards his lifestyle.

trump's lawyer complains in closing arguments he couldn't bring witnesses

Among the things that Trump's lawyer complained about was not being able to call any witnesses to "disprove the negative,"Courthouse News reporter Nina Pullano reported.
Lawyer Michael Ferrara, the law partner to Robbie Kaplan, gave a rebuttal of Tacopina's closing statement, specifically going after Tacopina's comments about witnesses.

“I have an idea for him," Ferrara suggested. "It’s a little late, but maybe Donald Trump."

J.E.Carroll sat for hours and hours being brutally cross-examined by team trump, and did very well by all reports.

trump, on the other hand, lied to Scottish and Irish fans about needing to get back to this lying woman (who he didn't know) and a hostile judge in order to defend himself, but didn't file and so voided the extra chance Judge Kaplan had given him to appear and attempt to persuade the jury of his innocence. By doing so, he avoided the even greater risk of being cross examined by Carroll's lawyers.

The verdict form requires the jury to answer ten questions, including which degree of battery, if any, for which to hold Trump liable. The jury could find Trump liable for raping Carroll, for sexually abusing her, or for forcibly touching her. Any of the three would be enough to find Trump committed battery against Carroll, and the jury could then consider what damages to impose, if any.

The judge reminded the jury that the standard of proof is less in a civil case than it is for a criminal case. Carroll must prove her claims by a preponderance of the evidence and not beyond a reasonable doubt.

No evidence of the crime of rape was presented at trial. The jury agrees, but it still awarding damages to the lying clown.
