For those women who are attracted to women (regardless of whether you count yourself as lesbian, bi, bicurious or some other variation), care to share which is the physical attribute that generally catches your eye when you first notice you find another woman attractive? Is it the same all the time?

And I know that there is usually more than the physical that creates the attraction, but we can save that for another thread. :)

Thanks!

No parts. Skin tone, fitness, body movement, and facial expressions are what tend to catch me at first. There are exceptions but I usually don't find women attractive the first time I meet them. I have to be comfortable with a person before I can be attracted to them.

Intelligence and personality count more than any body part. I usually don't find a person beautiful until I'm attracted to them.

I completely agree, thought stealer.

I often have the same criteria for men and women. I look at the eyes, the hair, the smile, skin...more the overall package, including personality and sense of humor (perhaps the most important non-physical criteria for me). I'm a big eye person, so that's the first thing I notice.

...And I basically said what the other gals said. :)

I am an eye girl too.

Eyes are the windows to the soul. I can tell if a person is "good" by their eyes. It is weird, but then again...I am weird.

Next person who says they're attracted to eyes first gets shot.

For women and men, physically, the entire face usually attracts me. I'm not really concerned with body parts or size, as long as I find the face attractive.

Even if it's the truth ? Male or female that's what I notice first.

I've lived with my mom for most of my life and I still sometimes forget her eye color. Before I moved in with my grandmother, my mom gave me a framed photo of her with her brown contacts in. I used to stare at that photo whenever I missed her (often) so in my mind she still has brown eyes.

thats really sweet ... it makes me realize though i couldn't tell you the eye colour of my sister or mother

maybe that is why girls i find i'm attracted too i enjoy their eyes and eye colour because its something that is a bit close and personal and something i seem to tend to ignore in most people

Ummmmmmm just wondering, how do you not know your families eye colour??? I can't imagine not knowing those details, it's like forgetting your mom's birthday.....

As for the girl, her wit attracted me...then a very sexy av, and I was hooked....But the first time I looked into her eyes, I was lost....

well i think they have blue/grey eyes ... but i can't say that is because i've seen into them deeply and can remember the exact pigment like i can with girls i've been attracted too ... its just what they have told me

I guess I am into the details, the exact shade of brown her eyes are at certain times of the day....I wasn't dissin' ya sexy-one....The girl often tells me I am a very visual person, I guess thats true....

Rollyeyes even if I'm joking?

Of course it is, you're a woman. Byut then there are a few people where the eyes really catch my attention, like Meg Foster or Melinda Clarke.

This could be two fold. Sometimes I find woman attractive that are just that attractive, but that I would never want to date.

So to answer the question: Eyes and personality.

You can tell alot about a person from looking into their eyes even if they have a great personality, the eyes may still steer me away.

If I am looking just to say (WOW she is attractive) then it is eyes, breasts and butt. Which in the end probably makes me really shallow!

1) Self-confidence. It's all in the way a woman walks and moves.
2) Hands. Stong slender fingers with beautifully finished nails.
3) Eyes. All the secrets are in the eyes

I would agree with those who said they noticed the whole of a woman first. I find the whole of a woman attractive before anything else. After I get a general impression, I might notice individual parts: the face, eyes, lips, the general contours of the body, arms, legs, hands, etc.

The "eyes" seem to have it....

but I am somewhat suprised...you already have to be pretty up close and personal to really look deeply into someone's eyes. Generally I wouldn't think that one would cross a room to meet a woman because of her eyes....wouldn't the eyes be the confirmation on the attraction that lead you to that person to begin with?

What about the classic romantic eyes meeting across the room?
