In my opinion it's time this phrase ends on the board. I think it's problematic for numerous reasons.

First, it uses one's sexual proclivities as an insult. It's a low-blow. This is a porn/erotic website. We are supposed to be tolerant and welcoming of most sexual practices. We are supposed to be more open-minded. I think it demonstrates a great lack of character on our part to shed our integrity to make such lowly remarks.

Secondly, the phrase collared girl in the manner it has been used is insulting to women. It assumes that women cannot make their own decisions (no matter how terrible the decision is). It also insinuates that only submissive/collared women can be blinded by a man. That is categorically untrue. Some of the strongest and most dominant (in the bedroom) women, can be completely blind-sided by a man. Collared girl also assumes that only women have this ability to be wrapped up in a man - which is also untrue.

I have been rude to the women in question. I told them they had their head up someone else's ass. But, that's just regular posting that I could do to any woman or any man in general if I thought they were being stupid or being a cronie.

I'm not saying "play nice." I think we have the right to say whatever we want when we want to. I just think the use of the phrase collared girl is distasteful. It would make me very happy to see it stopped.

This is not a command, this is not me dictating to the board, this is just merely my opinion.

oh fuck off already. no one cares what you think

if you have so many problems with what it said and by who maybe you need to take a longer sabbatical, like permanently.

Exactly how I feel. It's just unfortunate that you have more class and guts than most who are throwing this term around. Thanks Lav.

Although I do find the idea of this board being tolerant and welcoming to all as slightly gigglish.

Again, why couldn't you have said that under your normal username? Are you too scared to tell someone to fuck off to his/her face?

How long exactly does it take to log out of your regular name, and log back in as Unregistered? I'm just curious to see the appeal in doing do.

Not all people - just all sexual proclivities. Most posters here are very open-minded about various sexual practices. Most, not all. There are some limitations - mind you. Things like bestiality and pedophilia, that are illegal, are also looked down upon here.

Well, tolerant of most sexual styles at least.
;)

Funny, I remember a newbie on here the other day being completely blasted by most for what I think was a thread on having his wife fuck him up the ass with a strap on. That seems a fairly common practice anymore - I wouldn't consider that to be something to be looked down upon.

Right. Cuz we all know that Lav can't think for herself.

Damnit Lav, get a backbone.

He was blasted for that? I remember DCL saying something about it being gay, but I didn't see anything beyond that.

Again, I don't read every post, so I miss some things.

So, does the same principle apply to the use of the term "DramaDom" which has been used here lately?

I'm noting a bit of irony between your title and location and the thoughts on this thread.

Fuck you, lavender. You are full of shit and I think you need a nap.

Man, is it that hard to tell someone how you feel? That was pretty easy.

BTW, I am just using an example, and by no means actually believe what I have just written. Thank you.

Tolerance?

There is an undercurrent of intolerance, judgementalism and hostility towards many on this board because of their particular kinks.

Lit is the most conservative porn board around. :)

But that has a better ring to it than Human Splinter.

It may be more catchy, but my qestion for Lav is serious.

Doesn't "DramaDom" also make fun of a person's sexual preferences, and therefore, is equally offensive?

Ahem, that was the point. :)

I just figured if I can't beat them, join em. Maybe if they see it in my title and location long enough, they'll figure out for themselves exactly how fucking stupid the terms are.

I agree with you in that I try to be tolerant of most sexual practices. But, I don't think that this board is supposed to be anything. Saying that there is a supposed original and fixed character (e.g. one of integrity) of the board is an assumption that regards the forum at Lit as an entity with some kind of specific content-driven objective. All I'm saying is that we shouldn't assume that our (i.e. one's) idea of how the board should work jives with everyone else's.
