MissTaken said:IN the spirit of that very popular av I have retired,
I am making bindings and straps of lavender suede with a touch of lace trim.
For that mood when I want to feel pretty and delicate.
I know, boring and maudling, but I am pleased!![]()
Wizard said:Ok ................So anyhow......anyone build any cool toys recently?........Make anything new?????
I have many homemade things anyone care share any?
I have made spreader bars, hanging devices, benches.......things like that
For someone new they can take wooden clothspins .......drill the end and put a screw with a wing nut on the end to keep the pressure light.....I rubberband on the ends will also keep them from closing all the way also.
Plastic will bite down harder than wooden ones........
Pinpong paddles can be fun......
anyone care to add some thought for the do it yourselfers....
WriterDom I know you have made some leatherwork....care to share......
Wizard said:Darn and I thought you said something about making those things for on a closed door.....
A strap with a dowel rod on one side to keep them from sliping through. and a place to strap a wrist to the other side.....
O-Well sorry dude.....

Thats cool .......I get a catalouge from a leather company to buy my hardware from ...Snaps ,fasteners, "D" rings etc. but darn if I can think of the name of the place.....
MissTaken said:
Well, I went to the fabric store and found all sorts of things, D rings included.
I also liked the cord that they sold in the curtain and draperies department. It was rather expensive, but I may wait for a sale.
Heh. Some go to Home Depot, some go to Michael's. This just makes me smile...the fabric and craft stores are great resources.Wizard said:
Sales are good........Never thought of looking in a place like that.

1) You're more than welcome.MissTaken said:Thank you, Risia.
For now, I am just taking it one day at a time, but feel better for having learned something.
I am glad to see you back on the boards.

2) I don't see what else you can do except chalk it up to painful but useful experience. You seem to be handling this very well, if it's any consolation. Don't worry...I know that it isn't, not really.
3) Was I gone? Hmm...I haven't been on this thread too much recently. I've been screwing up my own life enough lately, I feel remarkably underequipped to offer anyone else advice.
Thanks for the links, WD.

Re:coping: We have to keep moving on. Some nights we might cry ourselves to sleep, other nights, may fall asleep and slip into the peaceful dreams of togetherness that brings on the morning with a smile.
Some days we rise, refreshed, shower and don the clothing and make up that help us to exude confidence and perhaps even, our individuality. Other days, we remain in non descript jeans, jogging pants, sweatshirts trying to remain hidden from all eyes.
In either case, we keep on moving on, sometimes slowly, sometimes at the speed of light.
Sorry to carry on so, today is a sweatshirt day and sure to be full of introspection.![]()
Risia: your words and insights and honesty are always welcome and always refreshing. Be well. Thank you.
RisiaSkye said:cellis: I haven't heard the song, so double thanks for the tip. I'll have to hunt it down and check it out. You rock! I'm so impressed that you even remembered what I'm up to, much less took the time to think of me and give me the tip. Big cookies for you!
The only other (popular/mainstream) songs I can think of with really overt BDSM content are Madonna's "Erotica" and Depeche Mode's "Master & servant," although DM's "Strangelove" could qualify. All in all, not a lot of songs on my list so far.
