BDSM: Questions and Answers

IN the spirit of that very popular av I have retired,

I am making bindings and straps of lavender suede with a touch of lace trim.

For that mood when I want to feel pretty and delicate.

I know, boring and maudling, but I am pleased! :D

Ok ................So anyhow......anyone build any cool toys recently?........Make anything new?????

I have many homemade things anyone care share any?

I have made spreader bars, hanging devices, benches.......things like that

For someone new they can take wooden clothspins .......drill the end and put a screw with a wing nut on the end to keep the pressure light.....I rubberband on the ends will also keep them from closing all the way also.
Plastic will bite down harder than wooden ones........

Pinpong paddles can be fun......

anyone care to add some thought for the do it yourselfers....

WriterDom I know you have made some leatherwork....care to share......

Well, I was at the Asian market the other day and found this nifty thing that is supposed to be used to clean your computer... you know very soft duster on one end and a very soft brush for the key board on the other... Himslef loves playing with it and I love the sensations.... LOL... toys are everywhere

Yea...right with ya on that one I almost forgot , we have two featherdusters in our play box and one is small....weeee tiny one like what your talking about.......Those are cool, I thinnk I found ours at the $1.00 store.

That was a good one cellis, thanks......

Nope, never worked with leather. I have bought some tools and a leatherworking book. Still need a few more tools I think, and hardware, and of course, hides. I don't know if I could ever reach the skill level to make the floggers that sell for $200 on ebay, but I think I could do simple things to add to my collection and perhaps sell.

Darn and I thought you said something about making those things for on a closed door.....

A strap with a dowel rod on one side to keep them from sliping through. and a place to strap a wrist to the other side.....

O-Well sorry dude.....

Well, I've made a few ballgags for myself, experimenting with different sizes and consistency of the balls. I made the head harnesses out of 3/4" soft nylon cord, sold in some stores as a clothes line. It's amazing what an imagination combined with a twenty-year-old Boy Scout Merit Badge in Knots will do for you.

The balls (interchangeable) include a lacrosse ball, a racketball, and one of those hand exercise foam rubber balls.

Just pick one to fit, and be prepared to drool.

A lot.

I did do that, but not with leather. I used wide velcro backed up with duct tape. You could probably skip the velcro if you used enough tape.

Well, I went to the fabric store and found all sorts of things, D rings included.

I also liked the cord that they sold in the curtain and draperies department. It was rather expensive, but I may wait for a sale.

Sales are good........Never thought of looking in a place like that.

Heh. Some go to Home Depot, some go to Michael's. This just makes me smile...the fabric and craft stores are great resources. ;)

MissT, sorry to hear about your relationship struggles. If you need to vent, feel free to PM me.

Oh, and thanks, SpectreT, for the compliment some pages back.

Happy New Year, everyone.
Anybody heard from Blackbich recently? Damn, I miss that chica.

Thank you, Risia.

For now, I am just taking it one day at a time, but feel better for having learned something. (At least in my current frame of mind, I am. That could change at any second. :))

I am glad to see you back on the boards.

checked into toy making the other day with a few of the pros.

For anyone who is interested in making enough toys to sell you might try:

www.ohiotravelbag.com

They carry a great selection of items specifically or adaptable for BDSM toys. There is a minimum 75 dollar first order, and 30 dollars after that. So it's probably not worth it if your just making them for yourself. Unless you want a lot of toys.:p

Also I've heard that www.hidehouse.com has good deals on hides. They will sell a minimum of one hide.

Anybody seen Cym? I haven't seen her post in a few days. I was wondering how she was doing.

1) You're more than welcome.
2) I don't see what else you can do except chalk it up to painful but useful experience. You seem to be handling this very well, if it's any consolation. Don't worry...I know that it isn't, not really.
3) Was I gone? Hmm...I haven't been on this thread too much recently. I've been screwing up my own life enough lately, I feel remarkably underequipped to offer anyone else advice.

Thanks for the links, WD.

RS... I know that you are working on your paper with the BDSM themes in mainstream life and I was wondering if you had heard the new song by Puddle of Mud... you know the "Spank My Ass" song? That's not really the name of it, but I can't remember what it is really called.... It is actually the first song I have ever heard with overt references to BDSM... I thought you might want to get a copy and listen to it... the first couple lines go...

I love the way you look at me...
I love the way you smack my ass...
I love all the little things you do...
When I have control of you...

LOL... guess I have been listening to it too much on the radio...

Is it in the water? Or rather, is it in the copper wires that so many seem to be facing difficulties right now?

Re:coping: We have to keep moving on. Some nights we might cry ourselves to sleep, other nights, may fall asleep and slip into the peaceful dreams of togetherness that brings on the morning with a smile.

Some days we rise, refreshed, shower and don the clothing and make up that help us to exude confidence and perhaps even, our individuality. Other days, we remain in non descript jeans, jogging pants, sweatshirts trying to remain hidden from all eyes.

In either case, we keep on moving on, sometimes slowly, sometimes at the speed of light.

Sorry to carry on so, today is a sweatshirt day and sure to be full of introspection. :)

Risia: your words and insights and honesty are always welcome and always refreshing. Be well. Thank you.

cellis: I haven't heard the song, so double thanks for the tip. I'll have to hunt it down and check it out. You rock! I'm so impressed that you even remembered what I'm up to, much less took the time to think of me and give me the tip. Big cookies for you! :D

The only other (popular/mainstream) songs I can think of with really overt BDSM content are Madonna's "Erotica" and Depeche Mode's "Master & servant," although DM's "Strangelove" could qualify. All in all, not a lot of songs on my list so far.

MissTaken: I'm not sure about the water/wiring, but it sure does seem like personal life chaos has been at a high level recently, doesn't it? I really like the idea of introspection being tied to what we wear. Something about that just sounds right to me. :) And, as always, you're such a sweetheart. Thanks for being, well, just like you.

Gee whiz, folks. I'm on a regular love-fest roll today, aren't I? Heh. It doesn't happen too often, though. I'm sure I'll be bitching about something again before long.

Oh so true... MissTaken.... oh so true... There are those days when it is all I can do just to show up... and then there are those days when I know I look really good... After all this time, I feel that dark cloud of depression surrounding me.. and most of the time I can take steps to push it away... unfortunately the last couple of days I have not been able to so that.... so I just take a deep breathe and do the best i can... and some days are better than others... yesterday wasn't but there is hope for today...

Pandora's Box

This thread scares the hell out of me.

All my sexual life I have been turned on by facets of what I now know to be the BDSM lifestyle. I am drawn to this thread, and other BDSM things, like a moth to a flame. I wish I never found this place.

If I give in to my submissiveness, and explore that part of my sexuality I will lose everything I currently have. My partner is very traditional; he even regards erotic novels as "dirty books".

Nevertheless, I love him. But he would never be willing to explore BDSM. He wouldn't even know where to begin. And I fear that I would need an experienced Master.

Dare I open Pandora's Box?

Please forgive me for not posting under my registered name.
