How to learn about BDSM?

This is something that I've always had a tangential interest in and have brushed up against in the past, but it's not something I know well enough to write about. In reading through threads on this forum, I see a number of aspects that I've made use of or even imported wholesale into my own play, so I feel like I'm not far away from "getting it." However, even though I have what I believe are most of the pieces I'm not totally sure how they fit together so I'm not sure what questions to ask.

Is there a place to go to learn more about this? I read the Story of O and Anne Roquelaure's Sleeping Beauty in college, but I was never sure how to think or talk about splitting apart some of the aspects that I connected with while leaving behind other parts that didn't make me feel the way I wanted to feel, or whether that was even possible. I looked over the Library thread but there's a lot there and I still wasn't able to turn that into specific questions I could just post.

And if anyone is willing to answer a few questions that will probably wander around, I can't offer anything in return other than a genuine curiosity and an eagerness to hear your perspectives.

Findimg serious litersture on bdsm dynamics is somewhat difficult, if psychological asoects and comcepts are your interest

I'm not trying to pretend like I'm an encyclopedic expert, but it's something I've been interested in for a long time and feel like I have a good grasp of many of the nuances.

I'd be happy to take a crack at answering questions. You can DM me if you prefer.
