Were you an avid reader when you were young?
Yes, and I still am.
What was the last book you didn't finish?
Sapiens: A Brief History of Mankind by Yuval Noah Harari
I thought the book was fascinating and really an amazing read. But he does the chapters by topics, and the last topics didn't appeal to me so I stopped reading it.
But I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that enjoys a unique perspective on human history - done in a clever and sensible way.
What is the book you'd recommend to others?
Another thread on here (I forget which one) was talking about "Lamb" by Christopher Moore, and that's one that I've recommended. I also really like "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern for a fun read.
What's a book someone recommended to you that you found disappointing?
it was something by Cormack McCarthey - but the title escapes me
If you see that someone has piled bags on the last open chair in the diner, how do you approach so you'll have a place to sit.. or don't you?

Do you let people in front of you at the checkout stand when you see they have less items...
absolutely.. nothing is so rushed that I can't give a smile to a stranger.

My wife worked the night shift as a nurse for most of our married life. At midnight on Valentine's Day one year, I arranged for the florist to deliver roses to her. She got the first floral delivery in the town where we lived that Valentine's Day.

My daughter. She was asking what size shirt her youngest brother wears so she could get him something while she’s at Disney. Proud of that one.

Vegan chicken wings at a new restaurant in town - actually very spicy and tasty.
