Ask Me A Question v. 1.9.19

Yes, and I still am.

What was the last book you didn't finish?

Sapiens: A Brief History of Mankind by Yuval Noah Harari

I thought the book was fascinating and really an amazing read. But he does the chapters by topics, and the last topics didn't appeal to me so I stopped reading it.

But I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that enjoys a unique perspective on human history - done in a clever and sensible way.

What is the book you'd recommend to others?

Another thread on here (I forget which one) was talking about "Lamb" by Christopher Moore, and that's one that I've recommended. I also really like "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern for a fun read.

What's a book someone recommended to you that you found disappointing?

If you see that someone has piled bags on the last open chair in the diner, how do you approach so you'll have a place to sit.. or don't you?

I don't know...I Probably wouldn't approach, and just wait... or maybe unless they offered...

Do you let people in front of you at the checkout stand when you see they have less items...

absolutely.. nothing is so rushed that I can't give a smile to a stranger.

What cast of characters would you choose to throw a party?

Danny Devito. Or a more mellow Jonah Hill.

Same question to the next player.

Ashley Judd

What is the most romantic thing you've ever done for someone..whether that person found it romantic or not?

My wife worked the night shift as a nurse for most of our married life. At midnight on Valentine's Day one year, I arranged for the florist to deliver roses to her. She got the first floral delivery in the town where we lived that Valentine's Day.

Who did you talk to last on the phone - actual voice, not text or message?

My daughter. She was asking what size shirt her youngest brother wears so she could get him something while she’s at Disney. Proud of that one.

What was for dinner tonight?
