If there was a sweep, it swept right past me. My score has been inching downward and is now in the 4.60's, too low to make the story a contender for first place and too high for last, but probably high enough to insure an H, especially since there are over 80 votes. Good luck to the contenders.

Could be, but more likely it was me. There was a sweep just before my story fell off the NEW list. After that, as is usually the case, voting slowed to a crawl with most coming AH folks and others in the contest. Perhaps your entering a second story kept things more active for your first one. That happened with my "Outdoor Angie" trilogy in the Earth Day contest.

I can confirm a sweep some time in the last half hour or so. I had one story lose one vote ( and pick up .20 in the process )

There are probably a series of sweeps, each targeted to different criteria, for the contests. I know that would be how I would do it. A sweep of known trollish IPs, then a sweep for IPs with a consistant pattern of low votes on all the contest entries, so on and so forth.

I thought about entering this one, and had a story in mind before it started even, but I have so much clamoring for the next chapter of Danica that I thought I'd better concentrate on that before I got hunted down and chained to my keyboard.

Good luck to everyone in the contest. I'll try to squeeze in a few more RVCs before the deadline. I swear I'm going to find the time to RVC all of them the next time out for Halloween.

Obviously it's too late to do anything about it, but someone just "informed" me that my story doesn't technically contain public nudity. The woman is topless (with her shirt behind them on the catwalk), no panties, and her skirt flipped up so anyone below can clearly see every inch of her while she's having sex. The man is bottomless (not even shoes). Two passers-by in a car are watching and that girl is topless and has her skirt inched up so the couple on teh catwalk can see her boyfriend fingerfucking her. I was told that this wasn't public nudity because to be "nude" you couldn't be wearing anything (even a sock or a shoe).

The point annoyed me (and no, it's not from you know who), but I have no way of arguing it since I am new here and don't know if there is technically a difference (at least to the Literotica staff). The point didn't consider the Exhibitionism in the story, even though that's also a qualifier. I wasn't trying to sneak a story in, I consider being naked while having sex, public nudity. Imagine my surprise to find out if you wear a watch, you're not technically nude.

Silly me, I figured if it would get you arrested for public nudity, that would qualify it as nude.

As has been stated in the competition rules, not being on theme can get you penalised by the voting readers.

Scouries in his thread does mention 'not on theme' several times but that is just one person's view of what the theme is or is not. My view would be equally valid (or not).

I think that most readers would accept your story is being on theme.

as far as I'm concerned,the nude day "rules" clear state that exhibitionism/voyeurism is part of the theme... and nowhere does it state how MUCH of a person needs to be nude.

What I would think (I should save this for Rumpy's thread after the contest) would be "cheating" the theme would be writing a story about alien lesbian werewolves and then having a 19-year-coed run through their spaceship and flash someone at the very end.

I was swept last night. Lost two or three votes and the score soared from the high 4.60's to the low 4.70's. So essentially, nuttin's changed. Nice respectable H with no chance of winning. That tends to produce something of a Zen-like attitude toward the contest.
