A booth in the middle of nowhere

To be honest I'm more comfortable hanging out with my in-laws than with my own family most of the time (more relaxed atmosphere)...If they didn't live a few hours away I wouldn't have so much of a problem visiting...well, that and there's other things I can do at my parents (like being anti-social and checking the net)...Ah well, I'll be bringing my laptop for something to do...Plenty of time for writing or whatnot...

Well, I didn't end up doing any writing...A little reading...And very little sleep...strange, I can usually sleep anywhere, but I had trouble sleeping there...

Wow! So I just realized that Chapter 4 of Girfting Night has absolutely no votes to it...over a thousand reads and no votes? It's actually the only story I have with none at all...

And here I thought it was the hottest of the chapters...Of course, it doesn't have a lesbian scene in it, but then again the final two chapters don't have much (if any) sex in them at all...Strange that...

Well, I used to view it as my one sacrosanct holiday, but a few years ago we didn't do anything cause the wife just didn't want to go out...So last year I agreed to work and the same this year...don't have any parties or whatnot to attend anyway...

Ok, so is there generally an insanely high turnover here or something?
I've been noticing recently that a large number of the regulars in the AH only joined within the last say year and a half...Now, I know this place has been around a lot longer than that as some, like Crimson, have been around for a lot longer than that...

Admitedly this particular thread might not be the best place to ask, lacking a large readership as it does...Ah well...

A second question to ponder...Would any of y'all hanging blithely out here be interested in me posting some authentic Greek recipies? My parent's church recently put out a cookbook scavenged from everyone's family collections so they truly are authentic...

It's like any large forum. People come and go. Some just fade away because they lose interest or real life gets busy. Others leave in a huff over some injustice (imagined or not). It's bound to happen with a group this large. (and I've been around a year longer than what this name says... there were... issues that caused a name switch)

Thanks This is actually my original name... just reincarnated. It was deleted when the personal issue arose. Eventually, things died down to where I felt it was safe to be me again, so I re-registered as Crim. Never felt like me with the other name.

Obviously, then you felt threatened by something. Verbal abuse, a stalker, or something similar. It's not uncommon, but it's a deplorable thing to happen to anyone. I hope it doesn't happen to you again.

It was actually unrelated to the boards. And it could possibly happen again, though not likely for awhile yet to come.

Thanks, but it's true. I struggle with feeling like I don't belong. I've been here for over 3 years, but I haven't made the close friendships like others have. No phone calls or trading of emails or lots of conversations on ims (or pms). It makes me sad.
