Not sure how I did it, but after a week of calorie counting and exercise, I'm up 2 pounds. If I drink a lot of wine tonight, can I at least count it as a serving of fruit?

A weird question for you all. After having a routine for the past few months, and actually looking forward to it, this past week was brutal. I could barely move, let alone do my regular rigorous 45-60 minute sweat sesh. I thought it was because I was focusing mostly on cardio (long story why, but I will be hitting resistance soon), so I tried a bit of pilates and yoga and gentle walks and my body does not seem to cooperate.
Even if I do go for a walk, I'm just exhausted. I don't know if it's because I'm just mentally drained and exhausted from work (and this weather yo-yo is really not helping) but I simply cannot move.
Any suggestions? I've been trying to force myself to move, but I'm hesitant to force too much. And I do have an appointment with my doc next week as I have an under-active thyroid and chronic anaemia so we will check those. I guess I'm terrified to lose the habits and momentum that I've built.
Right now it's screaming at me with a bullhorn and waving a flag. Fucking annoying tooSometimes your body whispers to you, and sometimes it screams at you.
There you are! Good morning my lovely friend!

I have and IT has, thank you! I'm optimistic that Migraine was only a one-off because I regularly do all the things necessary to mitigate the risk of a reoccurrence. I suspect I got it in the first place because it was accident related. Being hit with an exploding airbag is no joke!
It was! It may have been easier to deal with if I was capable of talking to someone or even spending a little time here, but instead I spent almost 3 whole days in a darkened room alone with my own thoughts. With that much pain involved, being inside my head was terrifying!![]()
Me too! The weather here isn't looking too good for outdoor activities, but I'm taking my mom out to brunch a little later and will be spending some nice quality time with her today. Have you decided how you're going to spend your summer break yet?
Nice! I've been there a few times! The Outerbanks are spectacular! Just don't forget the sunscreen. I learned that lesson the hard way! LOL!
Yes, this is what I'm struggling with at the moment. I figure if you stick at it then even if your effort is lacking you're moving closer to associating working out in that pattern. That's the theory anywayanyone else having the same issue? If I don't work our regularly (e.g. daily) it takes me nearly 2-3 times as long to get back into the routine (to a point there the routine is easy and not a drag).
I mean that even if you only do 5 pushups you're still doing pushups. It'll get easier to do the pushups, then the number will increase naturallythats what I am trying to do, e.g. instead of 25 pushups every hour, I now to 20 at the end I get to my desired number as well..
yes. It's called being old and getting older.anyone else having the same issue? If I don't work our regularly (e.g. daily) it takes me nearly 2-3 times as long to get back into the routine (to a point there the routine is easy and not a drag).

Yeah I can relate. I feel like I’m at the point I need longer than than the every other to recuperate from my runs. Which makes it difficult to maintain a consistent cadence.anyone else having the same issue? yes getting sick is somewhat the worst, thats why try to go at least at walks when I am stick, so I get at least out
I used to use a Fitbit Charge 2 until it died. Now I have a Garmin Instinct watch, not the cheapest pedometer on the planet but it does work well, functions as a sport watch well and I've used the GPS function a time or two. It holds a charge easily for 3 weeks if I don't use the GPS. I really wanted to like the latest version of the Apple Watch but then I found out that it only stays charged for 18 hours, I made my I-lust go away for that.is anyone using a step counter device? I saw a documentary and now I am really trying to get at least 12.5k a day in. But my fit bit sucked donkey balls lately, loses connectivity every day multiple times. I know i watch is an easy option, but I am not sure if it has such a great competition community. Any suggestions?
