Day 1: A song that makes you feel hopeful
Frank Turner - Get Bettter

Day 2: A song you’ll always sing along to
Pretty much any song for which I know the lyrics... and that's a ridiculous number of them. Similar to what the lovely lady of the thread stated about herself, far too much of my brain's information storage capacity is taken up by song lyrics. And my lack of a decent singing voice doesn't stop me. So, to pick one...

The Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton: An American Musical - Satisfied

Day 3: A song you love that most people haven’t heard from a popular band/artist
Florence + The Machine - Lover to Lover

Day 4: A cover song that you heard before the original
Well, @NRJLIVES4ever already took my first song 😊 so...

Janis Joplin - Me and Bobby McGee (originally recorded by Roger Miller)

Day 4: A cover song that you heard before the original
Wow I just learned a ton of these we're not covers - thank you.
Everybody Knows - Concrete Blonde

Original by Leonard Cohen (also very good)
Hahahah this was almost on my list but then I recalled it was the exact opposite, I’d heard the original on the Pump Up the Vilume soundtrack and then was so disappointed that that wasn’t the version on Bloodletting. Which has since grown on me, but the OG is still the best.

Day 4: A cover song that you heard before the original

In the mid/late 80s, I hardly listened to the radio so never knew this was a cover. It was at the time 7 Seconds was changing their sound from hardcore to more “melodic.”

I remember getting this 12” ep and thinking, “What the fuck is this?” Then one of my friends explained…

99 Red Balloons - 7 Seconds
