You can’t get legal aid for employment law. I’m going to make a few calls tomorrow and see what I can find outYou really do work for a moron. It’s been obvious for some time that you need to get out of there for the sake of your mental and physical health. The only question is can you can get any compensation for what they’ve put you through. Maybe you can talk to a legal aid lawyer to see if they think you have a legal case against the company.
You're doing well with that group!I had a really good day yesterday. My number of followers doubled from two to four. Look out world here I come. There’ll be no stopping me now.
Sounds like HR needs to know about this at the very least. You really do work for a moron. Do you have an employment governance that you can call? You can’t get legal aid for employment law. I’m going to make a few calls tomorrow and see what I can find out
I think that's intentional to encourage people to find a job. My sibling was so dang picky after they quit a job, they went into huge debt waiting to find their perfect job. Finally when they maxed out their credit cards, my parents told said that they needed to get ANY job to pay their bills and then they could afford to be picky. People these days have a piss poor work ethic and feel like the world owes them, they're holding out for perfect. There's crap in everybody's work life. We have to decide if it's too much to deal with and when we decide it is, then we move on instead of constantly wallowing in our misery. I was just about to quit this job because of my manager, but then they promoted his racist, homophobic, misogynistic ass. OK, rant over.though here, depending on the state, unemployment maxes out at less than minimum wage. a week of unemployment doesn't even cover day salary. no mater how much you make, unemployment maxes at what would be a $14,000 a year salary, which is just not livable for any length of time, so no free time. A month of unemployment is actually less than the average rent even before taxes are taken out.
Over here, it’s really only trade unions that support with employment issues, outside of an expensive law firm. I know of one organisation called ACAS that offers free (limited) legal advice over the phone. I’m going to give them a call tomorrowDo you have an employment governance that you can call?
Good luck… fucking companies expect so much from people these days… it’s ridiculousOver here, it’s really only trade unions that support with employment issues, outside of an expensive law firm. My guess is that it's short for getting ON BOARD a bus. You get on board big things, especially if it's a form of mass transportation. Why is it called getting IN a car but getting ON a bus?
HR is different here, they don’t deal with grievances, or hiring or firing. Not in the companies I’ve worked for anyway. It’s all an internal process and you can go to the head office’s HR department for advice on which way a case should go, or policies but they’re not directly involvedSounds like HR needs to know about this at the very least.
Thank you. I already started looking for jobs last month, but until something comes up, I need to keep this one!Good luck… fucking companies expect so much from people these days… it’s ridiculous
I’ll be watching for your name in lights!I had a really good day yesterday. My number of followers doubled from two to four. Look out world here I come. There’ll be no stopping me now.
That's absurd. There has to be some sort of labor board or something you can go to. Can't imagine there isn't some sort of medical discrimination protection?HR is different here, they don’t deal with grievances, or hiring or firing. Not in the companies I’ve worked for anyway. I really shouldn’t be shocked that a racist, homophobic, misogynist got promotedI think that's intentional to encourage people to find a job. I always told my kids to stick with what they had while looking for something else. That way you still have money coming in weekly/monthly.I think that's intentional to encourage people to find a job. I threw that comment at him too. I’ve had this condition almost 20 years, so I know about the laws and so on to protect it. That’s where he put a foot wrong, and I’ll tackle that tomorrow. That's absurd. There has to be some sort of labor board or something you can go to. The only real backing we have in the UK is your union. Always be in a union even if you don’t agree with them. My dad was anti union so didn’t join. His employer got away with dismissing him unfairly and he had no way to fight his case. That's absurd. There has to be some sort of labor board or something you can go to. Sometimes I wonder if those are requirements!I really shouldn’t be shocked that a racist, homophobic, misogynist got promoted![]()
We all need that cis white male energy when applying for jobs… even if you’re only 50% qualified and no experience… fuck it .. apply anyway.Sometimes I wonder if those are requirements!
Most employers in the US hire people as "at will" which means they can fire you without cause. The only real backing we have in the UK is your union. What if you can’t in touch with your union? Is there anyone to go to in that case? The only real backing we have in the UK is your union. Always be in a union even if you don’t agree with them. It's Yoda for me.In honour of the day …. Favourite Star Wars character.
…..and go!
That really sucks. I’ve noticed on tv and from Americans I’ve spoken to that it seems a lot easier to fire people over there! Most employers in the US hire people as "at will" which means they can fire you without cause.
Does it fit well?In other news, the dress I ordered arrived today!![]()
