Chaos... to be continued

I once knew a young composer / conductor student who wanted to learn to play violin just for the sake of composing. His primary instrument was piano, and he wanted to learn of the specialties of violin.

But mainly composers know their shit and are good at imagining. Just like pro chess players can play chess in their head, just telling each other what is to go where.
Well, yes. But equally there's one piece by Bartók - I think it's the Concerto for Orchestra - which has a trombone part which is actually impossible to play. The notes of the phrase are theoretically within the instrument's compass, but you have to adjust the tuning of the instrument to do so, and you can't do that mid-blow. You drop the trombone if you try.

Why is it called getting IN a car but getting ON a bus?
Maybe because you usually have to walk up steps to get on a bus? You’re climbing on something. With a car, at least the first cars, you were more just sitting down, like you’d sit in a chair.

But a catastrophic event for all is a crash.
So at that point it doesn't matter. 🤷‍♂️

I don't think composers need hifi at all. Beethoven kept composing despite loosing his hearing altogether.
The truly extraordinary ones probably don't. That said, there may be innovators for whom that recall/replay was the missing piece. Some Grand Masters are great a blindfold chess and some aren't ( a field I actually know something about as opposed to music where I don't have a clue).

Oh no! What happened? 😕❤️
I submitted a letter to my employer about some of the things happening at work. He told me he’s no longer supporting my medical condition, that he will no longer adhere to my occupational health report, and he will not give me support in settling back in after having covid.

Then I got out of work and discovered buses will no longer stop there after 8pm and I never finish work earlier than 8pm!

What happens if you just get yourself fired? Here, you’d be able to collect unemployment, and then you’d have the free time to put into getting a better job.
