Chaos... to be continued

I have to be put out for dental work …. At personal expense… but it’s definitely easier to just fall asleep and wake up to all the work being done.
How do you get them to do that, though? They wouldn't when I had my tooth pulled a couple of months ago - I really would have like to be out for that!

I am sometimes able to borrow 1-2 spoons from the future, but the interest rate is awful.

Did that yesterday and today, and had to start paying back this evening already. Def not planning anything for tomorrow. I wish I could go dancing on Friday, but the current prognosis isn't good...
I'm sorry, I've been there... I say save spoons to go dancing if you can - I know when I was in the middle of my depression, I had to force myself to go do fun things, but it always helped, if only temporarily. But just doing the things you *need* to kind of drags you more down, I think.

Sorry, but these bodacious man-titties are never calm.
😳 … I think video evidence is definitely required
Unfortunately, nitrous oxide is one of three chemicals that are heating the earth to the point of extinction. The other two are carbon dioxide and methane. But at least we’ll die laughing.
The world is fucked no matter what we do.

I have to pay this spoon debt first before even thinking about anything else. It might take more than 2 days, I recover slowly.

But yes, I know more than well that not doing anything fun drags me down. That has been a problem for years. One reason for depression, even.

Just... recovering from a night of dancing has taken a week lately! (With zero alcohol, I am my own driver and alcohol disturbs dancing anyway.)

Actually had this conversation a week ago. Wife wanted put out for an extraction because novocaine doesn't work on her. Insurance wouldn't cover anesthesia for just one tooth, but it turns out two others could stand to he pulled so we submitted for all three and BAM! covered. Insurance is weird.

It wasn't the insurance that was the problem - I knew I'd have to pay out of pocket to be put out, but it seemed worth it. The dentist said I couldn't be put out for it :(

So I was listening to Bolero (came up randomly on YouTube)

There is a portrait of Ravel to go with the music. I was thinking that he was handsome enough to seduce more than a few women. Then I wondered if he ever played his Bolero in the bedroom. I then realized that even if he did the quality of phonographs and recordings in his time wasn't great.

Here's the thought, how much has composing changed in the era of high fidelity, when a composer can listen to a recording of his work and rethink it?

That's lame. Probably didn't want the liability, or didn't have the means. We have an oral surgeon for extractions for that reason.
