As a former commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army with a secret clearance, also subjugated to the strictest of adherence to protocol and Army regs, this makes me sick. Some top secret material was compromised due to negligence and outright indifference to government protocol and U.S. codes which deal with handling, usage and storage of classified material ( documents, correspondence, storage while mobile ) The Teflon Clintons beat the wrap again. Most officers especially commanding officers hold a security clearance based on need to know, most senior NCO's E-7 and above are cleared for at least a confidential clearance and you're briefed on your responsibility. I've been retired for over 15 years and my clearance has expired long ago. I sure things have changed since then. Much higher levels like secret and top secret are a perishable commodity and are on a strictly need to know basis, when the need is gone so goes the clearance. My point is, Hillary pleading ignorance holding one of the highest level clearances is absolute lunacy.

Well, I can agree with you that the past leaders ( Clapper and Brennan ) of our intelligence agencies and Comey of the FBI have certainly let us down. High clearances like AG, directors of major department, cleared by the secret service do keep their clearances for their advisory role but those clearances are so high you get nose bleeds.
