I haven't been in that situation, but my wife was. We'd been friends with another couple for a few years when she casually drops that she slept with the husband way back in college (way before any of us were married). I can't say I was surprised, since I knew they'd both been in the same co-ed fraternity together and everybody basically fucked everybody at some point. But I was a little taken aback that she hadn't thought to mention it sooner.

Sex in public. Way too self-conscious for that. Plus I'd probably be defrocked if I were caught.
Probably the one time I had sex in public and was caught. It wasn't too terrible - it was late at night and it was just a tired cop who'd seen it a thousand times before. He just told us to get dressed and go home and don't do it where he could see it again. Words I've taken to heart over the past couple decades.
