To sneak around and have sex with someone, while in a committed long term relationship with someone else, who is completely unaware of it?

It seems like one of those blurred line things, but it's important to what everybody else thinks.

I mean, is it one of those "what you don't know can't hurt you," things?

cheating: shagging, blowing, snogging, hand jobs,
blowjobs, foot jobs and titty wanks.

i'm on the fence about ear jobs...

I do believe most folks would consider this "cheating".....

Belly button poking is another iffy for me.

Which is the real "Cheating"?

Someone married and sex-starved seeking some private consolation and relief?

or ...

Someone married and yet repeatedly making her- or his-self unavailable for sex for every damn reason in the book, to the point of leaving their spouse a diminished grieving wanker?

An objective question: I know nothing about either option - thankfully.

NOBODY on the GB is a cheater.

At least until their Spouse finds out and the :p 's appear.

mind the splinters....

CAN YOU 'EAR ME, MOTHER? I SAID ''MIND THE SPLINTERS''!

If you can't/wouldn't do it with the s/o sitting next to you, it's cheating.

This is pretty much what came to mind right away when I first read the original post.

my effort at a serious response.

withholding sex if you don't want sex isn't cheating. but expecting a person to remain faithful if you're unwilling to work towards a sex life is unreasonable.

getting sex elsewhere is cheating. if you're unhappy enough to want sex elsewhere then you should either end it or own it.

despite what some crazy, controlling loonies believe, it isn't cheating to flirt, to hug, to hang out, even if you do have sexual feelings towards that person.

if a person's jealousy makes them unreasonable in their demands, they forfeit the right to have a say over the other person's actions.

Every couple has its own intimacy contract, spoken or unspoken.

To some, flirting/hanging out with someone you have sexual feelings for is tantamount to or can be considered cheating.

To others, it's not.

it is ridiculous, so I dismiss it.

LTR and I have arrangement, I flirt with others and tell them not to tell her, then she comes along and calls me a hussy. It works for us.
