Facebook says breastfeeding babies is porn.

I have breastfed all of my chitlins and I really didn't care if you saw my boob when I did it. I was feeding a baby, not doing a stripping routine.

As far as childbirth, post all shots that show the baby coming out. Heck, when you give birth, everyone and their mother takes a look at your cooch before you pop it out anyways.

Images of mother's feeding their babies is apparently so offensive, that women who post pictures of themselves breastfeeding are being locked out of their accounts.
This is PC gone completely insane.
What do you think?

That's not politically correct at all, it's moralism...

It's also stupid, but it has nothing to do with political correctness.

Breasts are for feeding babies... that's their primary purpose, and this is just another reason that facebook is a worthless pile of shit.

I agree with you. My advice is get off FaceBook. They know too much about you already. Why be part of an IPO that will make them rich? What are you getting out of it? You should be getting paid for that information you are sharing because it is making other people billionaires.

That's capitalism at work.

The rich make money off the people that get little-to-nothing for their efforts.

Childbirth has always been a private thing.
Breastfeeding, on the other hand, hasn't always been a shameful or private thing - it wasn't until the Victorian era that it became something that should be hidden.

Childbearing is not at all a private thing where I'm from. You invite all your family and friends to get in the doctor's fucking way and generally do nothing. It annoys the living shit out of me. I cannot understand why a woman in that situation- vast amounts of pain and whatnot- would want everyone she fucking knows standing there staring at her vagina and trying to capture it all on film. I've never understood it. And I've spent so many nights of my childhood trying desperately to sleep in a hospital waiting room while some chick gives birth. Half the time it was one of my mom or granny's friends or something- someone that I didn't know and didn't understand why I had to sit there all damn night.

As far as the breastfeeding thing- that's just fucking stupid. I'm pretty sure that it's so incredibly stupid it won't last long.

I don't get why people don't put the strictest privacy settings on their pictures possible so that not everyone can see your family life.

While it may be their primary purpose, men and women suckle the breast much more than babies. Breasts, as natural as they are, titillate.

Even by your own logic- which kinda baffles me- that still isn't a reason to take down their pics and lock them out of their accounts. A non-sexual act that arouses someone has nothing to do with the act and all to do with the fetishist. If you're going to ban anything that might even be remotely sexual, then you're gonna have to cover all fetishes- which is going to leave us with an internet with no pics at all.

My logic was good. I agree with you that they should not ban the pics. I only mentioned that the breast's primary purpose by today's standards is to be playground for adults.

Personally, I would support leaving the pictures. I imagine it is one of the most beautiful experieinces a mother enjoyed with her baby.

I also think it helps young people identify the female breast as something more than just a sexual plaything.

what?

Honestly, I think that's pretty cool... while as a kid, I'm sure you found it to be a pain in the ass, the bottom line is, what you were taking part in was community.

Now, based on some of your other stories, it certainly wasn't all positive, but supporting a woman through labor, I think that's pretty cool.

I can't tell if you're just a troll trying to say idiotic things, or if you're just really that stupid.

Yeah, trust me, it's not. I have no idea why this tradition continues, because neither the mother to be nor the doctor ever wants it. You're not there to support the mother, you're there to see the baby and make a big, dramatic spectacle. People try to go into the sterile room covered in coal dust and everything, and the doctors have to kick them out so that they have room to PAY ATTENTION TO THE MOTHER. The people that go there are just there for appearances.

For example, when I was born, there were complications because part of the in-utero sack that the baby is in hit me right in the face and got stuck. When I was born, the fuck-ton of people that were there followed me to the operation room- and left my mother there- alone. She tells that story because she wants me to know that if I'm ever in that situation I'm actually there to support my woman- not to watch her like a spectacle and then abandon her.

You're just there to look at the baby and later say, "I showed up. I was there. I am, therefore, better then you, who did not show up and was not there," when talking about the baby.

Like, the last birth I went to was my little cousins- and there were folk there right out of the mines, covered in soot and filth. Because babies who just came into the world need a lungfull of coal dust. It literally has NOTHING to do with supporting or caring about the person, and EVERYTHING to do with being able to brag about it later.

Are you from West Virginia?

I can't tell if you're just a troll trying to say idiotic things, or if you're just really that stupid.

What, do you have a hard dick for me? Every time I turn around, you have something silly to say. Explain to everyone here how smart you are and then dissect my post to explain to all how I said something idiotic in this thread.

I will wait for you.
