50 somethings thread .....

I agree completely! I had some great times in my earlier years, then came raising a family and all that goes with it. Now my children are grown and I am having an even better time than when I was younger. There is so much freedom that comes with age.
 
One of the best things about being in my 50's now and having grown kids...Is laughing at them when they holler at the kids for doing the same things I hollered at them for.
"Sit down and eat!!"
"Clean your room!"
"No, you can't borrow the car!"
LOLOL :D

And when the littler ones get whiny, you can send them home! :rolleyes:
 
One of the best things about being a man in his fifties...women in their fifties! ;)
 
Can almost mirror 'Savethe best4me's" response (leave out the death of friends dad). Never wanted/needed/craved it more than i do now. PLUS am more adventerous, willing to try new things and damn, it all feels sooooo good. Glad hubby #1 is a thing of the past. Best thing he ever did for me was LEAVE. lol.

Good morning everyone ! Or...good evening from my part of the world. Its always sunny and hot here except for the occasional tropical storm.
Its 8:40 pm here so hump-day is just about over. It's margarita time. I think I'll thaw some out. yumm :D

Unless we're talking Mimosas it may be a bit too early for a drink. ;) Coffee would be good. Can you cook eggs on that grill??
