50 somethings thread .....

LMAO - Thanks, peachy, for keeping the Cafe open while I was at a meeting - you have a lunch date i see! Smiles

Just thought I would pop in and see how the crowd was doing.

So, since we are all children of the 50s... what was the top songs when you were born...

Rock Around the Clock was on the charts when I was born in 55. Kind of cool to think that Rock and Roll was born when I was... lol COOL!http://www.youthblog.org/joe%20cool.jpg

TECHnically, I'm a just shy of 50...and I'd have to look up what was hot when i was born. I remember listening to the Mama and the Papas, Johnny Cash, and Herb Albert growing up - lol

Mornin' guys & gals..... Yep, the coffee was good, especially the second pot. The first one ended up in a broken pot in the sink...

Morning all. Coffee to go, as usual.

Looking like a stormy few days here in the Sunshine State. That storm system down south looks eerily like a really disorganized hurricane. Hmmmm. Too early for THAT silliness. Oh well. Have a great Tuesday all......

1957. Elivs Presley, Buddy Holly, and a Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On! :D

Oh, and we learned that space was a good place for a race.

Morning all! Beautiful day in Chi town. 77...I am taking the top down...on the car that is...;)

1 coffee, cream and sugar please! I need it.

Thanks, have a great day everyone.

Rae

Hello all. Looks like coffee's the order of the morning. Finishing up cup # 2.

Looks to be a beautiful day here in the Philly 'burbs. And , should be nice this weekend.

Anyone have any special plans? Going to a cookout with my brother's family one day, and going to throw some ribs on the smoker come Monday. In and around all that, lots of beer.

Yes. I'm the lucky guy who enjoys the "top down" ride.
Yes...she's pretty amazing. I don't blame you for noticing. Thanks for the "props."
I know she thinks you're a real nice guy too.
I hope you'll be lucky enough to find someone special in your life.
Good luck, and thanks.

Good morning, peeps - coffee is ready: Good morning blend; Kona for your spoiled kids; and a Brazilian free-trade dark roast for the "greens" who are burning both ends.

Oh, and tea - featuring Irish Breakfast and a blend of mate', black tea, apple and cinnamon.

whew - I'm tired - heading back to bed ;)
