Israel/Hamas PB Tribal Fight

Hasn't that been obvious all along? Saudi Arabia's leaders were going to sell out the Palestinians, but they couldn't do that after October 7, 2023. The conflict begins in 1947-48 at least, if not decades earlier, and certainly not 2023.

The only solution is an end to Zionism and an end to Israel. There needs to be One Palestine, for peoples of all religions and none.
Israel has citizens of all religions. Your one state solution already exists and its name is Israel. If you want to put an end to theocracies, there are lots of those in the Middle East to focus on: Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, Syria, and Iran would all benefit from being liberalized and welcoming back the Jews they expelled 80 years ago.

If Hamas is destroyed, something like it will emerge, You think the Pals ain't gonna hold a grudge over this?!
Yes ,of course will. But if he gives up- now people will blame him ans his people for in years to come. And this end up in a civil war or something.

Well then it's a good thing that the IDF bombed every fucking civilian hospital into rubble, right? Right?

One less "war crime" for Hamas to commit. Still plenty of war crimes left for the IDF to commit in Gaza, though. Starting with deliberately starving children as "policy".

That's not a war crime either. There is nothing that says you have to supply food to the enemy. They can however, surrender.

It would be a far better thing if Israel ended it now. Destroying Hamas is not worth all this.
Not destroying Hamas now merely extends the war into the future.

Best finish it now, eradicate Hamas and too bad about the civilians - just treat Gaza the way we treated German and Japan in WW2. Firebomb them, reduce Gaza to knee high rubble, and accept only unconditional surrender. At the slightest hint of resistance, firebomb them again......a few firestorms and Hamas will be toast....literally

The entire Fourth Geneva Convention deals with how civilians are to be treated.
Israel ratified this convention in 1951.

Grotesque editorial cartoon in the Memorial Day edition of the Washington Post this morning.

It attempts to conflate the honor of American military war dead with that of Israeli troops killed in support of the horrific Israeli pogrom in Gaza.

There is, of course, no "honor" in putting the sick, the elderly and children "to the sword" as Israel seems intent on doing.

Disgusting.

Is Hamas exterminated yet? The sooner they become footnotes of history the sooner we can get on with squashing Iran.

Amnesty had fallen far from it's lofty ideals....now they're just another anti-semetic propganda outlet who also happen to be pro-Russian

Heh, if you think THAT was bad, you're gonna hate to read today's lead op-ed piece in the Washington Post

A genocide is happening in Gaza. We should say so.

We can no longer avoid these uncomfortable truths.

Heh, if you think THAT was bad,
Ethnic cleansing has become the official policy of Israel. The nation’s leaders are admitting it, without apology. There was barely a pretense before. But now there’s not even that. And these admissions, combined with mass killing on the ground, point to something even more horrific: genocide.
On May 11, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told lawmakers that Israel’s war on Gaza is intended to render large parts of the territory uninhabitable, forcing Palestinians to flee: “We are destroying more and more homes. They have nowhere to return to.” Even the Trump administration — which is, or at least was, about as pro-Israel as you can get — understands what is happening. As President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff recently said, “Israel is not ready to end the war. Israel is prolonging the war, even though we do not see where further progress can be made.”

Netanyahu and his ultranationalist Zionist regime have made the nation of Israel toxic, it now literally stands alone as a worldwide pariah. Israel as a nation simply cannot be trusted to keep its word, it flaunts international law and basically sneers "what're you gonna do about it?"

The Israeli catchphrase "never again!" works both ways: no nation should ever trust Israel again.

I feel sorry for diaspora Jews, they're probably going to bear the brunt of retaliatory action of anger against Israel mass killings. I have to believe that most of them honestly felt like this was all about "getting the hostages released" and "getting Hamas to surrender". They were mistaken. Badly mistaken.

Israel now admits that was never the case, it was all about using any political opportunity to turn Gaza into a flattened lifeless moonscape. The admission that Israeli troops were given a "civilian Project Hannibal" directive the day of Gaza's incursion was the tipping point. Netanyahu authorized Israeli troops to kill captured Israeli citizens to avoid having to bargain for their release. And his troops obeyed that order.....although many of them are now coming forward with PTSD issues about being ordered to kill their own countrymen (and countrywomen....and their children).

It's sad that we'll likely never see these morally corrupt Zionist war criminals face the consequences of their actions. In a perfect world, the ICC would try them for crimes against humanity and condemn them all to death. We can debate the method to carry out the sentence: Firing squad, hangman's noose, lethal injection, etc. I believe it'd be the height of irony if they were all convicted to die and sentenced to the gas chamber.

Israel's actions will fan the flames of anti-semitism to new high levels not seen in centuries

....and they have no one but themselves to blame.

Best finish it now, eradicate Hamas
That is impossible -- if Hamas is destroyed, something like it will inevitably emerge before long, because the causes that gave rise to it will remain unresolved. And they'll be reinforced by a whole new set of grudges.

If something like Hamas is bound to emerge again because the root causes remain unresolved, that doesn’t mean dismantling Hamas now is pointless. On the contrary, it reinforces the need to act. Think of it like cutting back weeds—you may not eliminate the roots right away, but you reduce the immediate threat and buy time.

Even if a successor group eventually forms, it will take time to organize, recruit, and gain influence. That breathing room can save lives, reduce attacks, and potentially allow space for better political solutions to take hold. The grudges may persist, yes—but that’s not an argument against action. It’s a reminder that dealing with the immediate danger and addressing long-term causes aren’t mutually exclusive.

The Germans were convinced to give up their genocidal ambitions. The Arabs can be convinced too.

Through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation?

The United Nations aid chief Tom Fletcher, raised doubts about the humanitarian aspect of the foundation and concerns about Israel's involvement and intentions. Fletcher called the foundation a "fig leaf for further violence and displacement" for Palestinians in Gaza and a "deliberate distraction" to the ongoing issues within Gaza due to the war.[2] Fletcher said that the plan makes aid conditional on Israel's political and military aims, and "makes starvation a bargaining chip". Executive director Jake Wood said that it is the only aid model with the approval of Israel. A UN official accused GHF of "weaponizing aid". The GHF plan is backed by the Trump administration.[10]

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas condemned the GHF plan, stating that "humanitarian aid cannot be weaponized" and that most of the aid sent by Europe to Gaza is "behind the borders and is not reaching people."[19]

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid suggested that the GHF and the American Safe Reach Solutions (SRS) are shell companies used to hide Israeli government funding.[20][21]

TRIAL International, a Swiss NGO which supports victims of war crimes, asked the Swiss government to investigate whether GHF's aid plan complied with Swiss and international humanitarian law. TRIAL said the GHF's plan was not neutral and would result in forced displacement of Gazans. GHF is a registered non-profit in Switzerland and Delaware.[22][23] GHF said it would move all its operations to the United States after the Swiss government said it was not in compliance with rules for foundations registered in Switzerland. GHF said its "Swiss entity was created as a contingency; is not operational; and is being wound down".[24]

The UN is just annoyed that Israel prevented Hamas from stealing the aid to sell it back to the Gazans.

"it's not a 'Humanitarian Point', it's a Death Trap"

"God's chosen people" chose to kill 14 women and children at "Food Distribution" Facility on Monday.
Naturally, "God's chosen people" chose to absolve themselves from any fault, because that's what war criminals do.
The Washington Post has already retracted its story about the IDF killing woman and children at the food distribution point, admitting that the claims were Hamas propaganda.

What a hoot!

The propaganda ministry of Israel, which has a default mode of "lie, obfuscate, deny" for over two years now, pitched a hissy fit and forced the Washington Post to swallow the Likud party line instead of, you know, actual journalism.

From your link "The Post didn’t give proper weight to Israel’s denial & gave improper certitude about what was known about any Israeli role in the shootings". The Post didn't give "proper weight" because of Israel's history of denying everything. Normally, a journalist would seek out, you know, eyewitness and stuff, but the Israeli Propaganda Ministry denies access to Gaza and will probably continue to do so until every last Gazan has been killed or displaced.

The government of Israel has shown us that it has no interest in telling the truth, only pushing a "pre-programmed narrative". As such, any "presumption of innocence" is forfeit. I applaud the Post for telling the truth in the original article, I'm just sorry that their right-wing publisher caved into political pressure the following day.

So for today, the Israeli narrative is "31 women and children died of gunshot wounds, we have no idea who or why".

I expect further deflection back on to the Hamas dastards later this week.
