I feel sorry for diaspora Jews, they're probably going to bear the brunt of retaliatory action of anger against Israel mass killings. I have to believe that most of them honestly felt like this was all about "getting the hostages released" and "getting Hamas to surrender". They were mistaken. Badly mistaken.

Israel now admits that was never the case, it was all about using any political opportunity to turn Gaza into a flattened lifeless moonscape. The admission that Israeli troops were given a "civilian Project Hannibal" directive the day of Gaza's incursion was the tipping point. Netanyahu authorized Israeli troops to kill captured Israeli citizens to avoid having to bargain for their release. And his troops obeyed that order.....although many of them are now coming forward with PTSD issues about being ordered to kill their own countrymen (and countrywomen....and their children).

It's sad that we'll likely never see these morally corrupt Zionist war criminals face the consequences of their actions. In a perfect world, the ICC would try them for crimes against humanity and condemn them all to death. We can debate the method to carry out the sentence: Firing squad, hangman's noose, lethal injection, etc. I believe it'd be the height of irony if they were all convicted to die and sentenced to the gas chamber.

If something like Hamas is bound to emerge again because the root causes remain unresolved, that doesn’t mean dismantling Hamas now is pointless. On the contrary, it reinforces the need to act. Think of it like cutting back weeds—you may not eliminate the roots right away, but you reduce the immediate threat and buy time.

Even if a successor group eventually forms, it will take time to organize, recruit, and gain influence. That breathing room can save lives, reduce attacks, and potentially allow space for better political solutions to take hold. The grudges may persist, yes—but that’s not an argument against action. It’s a reminder that dealing with the immediate danger and addressing long-term causes aren’t mutually exclusive.

Executive director Jake Wood said that it is the only aid model with the approval of Israel. A UN official accused GHF of "weaponizing aid". The GHF plan is backed by the Trump administration.[10]

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas condemned the GHF plan, stating that "humanitarian aid cannot be weaponized" and that most of the aid sent by Europe to Gaza is "behind the borders and is not reaching people."[19]

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid suggested that the GHF and the American Safe Reach Solutions (SRS) are shell companies used to hide Israeli government funding.[20][21]

TRIAL International, a Swiss NGO which supports victims of war crimes, asked the Swiss government to investigate whether GHF's aid plan complied with Swiss and international humanitarian law. TRIAL said the GHF's plan was not neutral and would result in forced displacement of Gazans. The propaganda ministry of Israel, which has a default mode of "lie, obfuscate, deny" for over two years now, pitched a hissy fit and forced the Washington Post to swallow the Likud party line instead of, you know, actual journalism.

The Post didn't give "proper weight" because of Israel's history of denying everything. Normally, a journalist would seek out, you know, eyewitness and stuff, but the Israeli Propaganda Ministry denies access to Gaza and will probably continue to do so until every last Gazan has been killed or displaced.

The government of Israel has shown us that it has no interest in telling the truth, only pushing a "pre-programmed narrative". As such, any "presumption of innocence" is forfeit. I applaud the Post for telling the truth in the original article, I'm just sorry that their right-wing publisher caved into political pressure the following day.

So for today, the Israeli narrative is "31 women and children died of gunshot wounds, we have no idea who or why".

I expect further deflection back on to the Hamas dastards later this week.

I recently watched a PBS NewsHour segment where a "Palestinian" woman was being interviewed, and she said (paraphrasing) “I can’t afford to BUY food for my five children”.

That ^ immediately caused me to ask myself: “Why the fuck does that woman have to BUY food that is being delivered as HUMANITARIAN AID?!?!”
