I remember that car was for sale 40 years ago and they were asking $250K then.

Work all day for a fawkin' banana!
White Man come an I wanna go home.

I was haulin' a kidney to Bal'mer. Savin' lives ain't got no end.

For not many tallies, kids could go fast 60 years ago in pre-war Henry steel. Of course, A-bones are still out there, but you'd best have a heap o' nanas.

I remember a junkyard when I was maybe 11 where I saw a pile of model A differentials. I heard they all got scrapped a few years later. :(

I've heard tale of that letter, but never saw it. I believe it is not authenticated, but is on display at the Ford museum.

I wonder who would pay $250K for the car 40 years ago. Maybe that's when the casino got it.

Yeah, I'm not too sure about the letter, either. Besides, who would name their kid ''Champion''? Before the V8 appeared, it would make more sense to steal a mid-size car with a big six that would outrun the cops in their four-bangers.

I doubt that the car went for the asking price. Apparently, it's always had worth as a draw, and that increases the gate.

I think it was just drawing flies here:

There's video footage after the shooting too. It was quite violent. I wouldn't mind seeing the car, but I doubt I'd make a trip out of it or anything.

I read an account of the firepower assembled for that little ambush. It was quite something.

I vaguely recall having had a chance to see it once but passing it up. I have no details - I think it was out on tour. It would have been a bigger deal than I was willing to make.

I drive an Expedition and love it, gets surprisingly good gas mileage with the 6 speed transmission and the 5.4L I have to admit the new raptors make me tingle in places, but for my family the Expedition is more practical.

I drive a 2013 Ford Ranger.

4x4. Engine's a bit loud. 6-speed manual, 3.2 litre turbo diesel.

Work truck. Goes alright.

You must not be in the states, we don't really get the smaller trucks with diesel around here. I had a 1997 7.2L diesel f250 for a while that I loved. I learned to do everything on that truck. It helped that I was small enough to sit on the engine while I worked lol

Cool. :)

I live in Sydney. There are F250s/350s etc around, but they're not really all that popular. I think because of their size. Bit hard to park in the city.

I've always wanted one.

A friend got himself an F350. Now that's one big truck!

You know what they say..... big truck is compensation ;)

Perhaps.....

I waddle about the road in a 26+ year old non-usa diesel toyota. I don't need any more than the 106 HP it provides. Yet, there are a lot of people here with piles of toys they want to haul. And hauling 4 sleds or a big ass boat requires a big truck. Personally, I's have a smaller daily driver, but some folk driver their toy-hauler daily.

And yeah, a lot of the drivers are short.....
