What happened to all of the doom and gloom economic threads?

Dick, why do they need the assistance?

Could it be that, as per my contention, that in the desire to provide assistance, given time and the nature of politics and electoral power, that the plunder becomes so great that people cannot do it on their own thanks to the theft and then subsequent flight of Capital?

I think you need to actually re-read what I am posting instead of seeking angles of attack for purely partisan purpose, i.e, the worship of the Welfare State and its associated tyrannies.

...

Now, Sean, this is clearly a response to an ad hominem attack, so you must therefore allow me a little leeway for I am far more polite than this dick...

You understand so few of the terms that you bandy about...

Where is the "subsequent flight of capital" supposedly going to?

Right now, it can be best found by the angry rhetoric of the Socialists demanding that people hire and stop sitting on that money...

I do understand these terms because I do read a lot of books on economics, I don't just "know" what I feel like so many do who seem to conflate economics with the politics of Altruism and Social Secular Crusading, just like the Christians they love to bash.

Again, you failed to be able to understand what was written, and answered some other phantom question that popped into your mind from somewhere else. I blame home-schooling.

Let me slow it down for you:

Are you that obsessed with winning that you are ignoring the demands of your own party?

Some of it recently went to SINGAPORE!

It flees from California to Nevada and Texas.

It flees from the NE!

It flees from the rust belt!

In Wisconsin brave men and women try to reverse the flight, and for it, get compared to DICTATORS!!!

So it's movement of capital, not disappearance of capital. What's wrong with capital moving around? Be smart and grab some of it. It's there for the taking. Geesh.

If we had the Libertarian Federal government of severely limited positive interferences (von Humboldt), that charter of negative Liberties that our "evolved" Federal government is so opposed to, it would be a wonderful clearing mechanism for bad economic ideas.

The problem now is that you cannot flee the Federal government so easily, which is why Capital sits on the sidelines or moves offshore...

"Hibernation" isn't "flight". I know that words can be very confusing for you, so let me help you out.

There's a really cool site called dictionary.com, you should check it out when you're having trouble.

To Singapore, right?

If it has the same economic effects, then it is synonymous...

"Flight" and "hibernation" are in no way synonymous.

You looked around on your "not books" and couldn't find anything to support your asinine ideology, so then you changed what you were originally saying.

It's the AJ way!

DOW down 256.

Vman was kind enough to provide minute by minute quotes on Friday. For a sensible perspective, here goes.

12 month performance:

S&P -1.7 percent
CAC -24
DAX -15
FTSE -10
Nikkei -11
Hang Seng -19

Looks like the US market is doing okay wingnuts, no matter how much you root for failure.

We know who cannot handle the truth...

Wonder how much he lost?

Of course, he will say he MADE money, money...

Me? I'm doing fine: post #14961

Hey dumbshit, I posted that we sold out when the market was 13,300. And I posted it on that very day, not after the fact. And I also predicted that the market would dip ~1000 points, then it did two weeks later.

By the way, I love your ignorant comment about losing or making money. Nobody who is a legit investor uses those terms when referring to investments that continue to exist unsold - which is the only way money is made or lost. It really sounds like you have a high school-level understanding of investing.

LOL, no sorry. The market dipping down to 12,118 doesn't vindicate your claim that the market "collapsed" on a particular day in June when the Dow dropped like -.09%. Your prediction was just horribly wrong - and now you're trying to edit what you said. Classic AJ!

we need more taxes! how dare people KEEP their own money. only the obama knows how to spend it ~ surrender your money to the regime now!

And that's what differentiates you from the AJs of the world.

You're not afraid to explain what you buy and sell in the market in a timely manner. You take your lumps when you guess wrong.

Contrast that to people like AJ, who has been bragging for virtually as long as I have known him about his market-timing prowess. Sadly, these incredible market-timing transactions (where he sells at the very top of the market and buys at market bottoms) are always trumpeted months....and sometimes years....after the fact.

It's very illuminating that you'll share what you're invested in, but AJ absoutely positively refuses to share anything in his purported "portfolio".

Draw your own conclusion, folks.
