Spinning the same trope, do you do it?

First, I also married a redhead with green eyes. There seems to be a lot of here. Wonder why.

Body type and age have no set pattern in my stories. I usually base the female characters on someone I actually know, or knew and use their body in the story.

I model many of them after my wife who is a tall, redhead with rather large breasts. I use my high school girl friend, short, cute brunette, and pert a lot and my college girl friend, short, cute, pert, redhead with huge breasts a lot too.

As I've posted before, I typically write the name of the real life girl on a Postit note and put it on the top of my screen as I write. That way I always picture her in my mind and write the character correctly.

Here's a trope for you...

My brother-in-law was in Montana?!? on a job, he's a crane operator, anyway one night he's in town at a bar and picks up this mature MILF and takes her back to his hotel room. Two nights later he's in the same bar and picks up a nice young lady his own age. Back to his hotel room they go.

Long short, the two young people fall in love and the night comes he has to meet the parent, her dad it seems had fled the state... who knows why. I never found that out. Anyway, she takes him to her mom's place and as you probably guessed it's the MILF he had two night before his girl.

He was so embarrassed that he fled the scene. His girlfriend got to him before he could get in the car and leave and dragged him back inside. The Mom and Daughter had a good laugh. He was very embarrassed, yet finally laughed along with them.

He never ever made a move on Mom after that. He and the daughter have been married for... hell.. twenty some odd years with two children.

As for spinning the same trope...

I write loving wives, of course I do. And here is a list of LW trope/clichés...

Husband comes home early and finds wife in bed with another man.

Husband finds out she is taking birth control pills even though he had a vasectomy.

Husband finds search history on her computer to hook up sites.

Wife tells husband she had a lover and is going to continue to see him even if husband doesn't like it.

Husband finds soiled panties in the laundry with dried cum on them.

Wife doesn't have sex with husband as often as she did.

Wife has more sex with husband than she used too.

Wife goes off the pill and gets pregnant, turns out the baby isn't the husbands.

Husband just suspects, can't put a finger on any one thing but hires a PI to find out.

Husband (same as above... except) he puts camera's all over the house to find out.

Wife wants to do or does something that is out of character... like separate vacations or maybe a long weekend with the 'girls'. But this is more a suspicion than a cliché.

Now all of these are either burn the bitch or reconciliation at all costs or somewhere in between. The end really doesn't matter as far as the story goes, just the way, which the wife is found out. What the husband does with her are divided into two factions in the LW category readers. BTB, RAAC. One faction calls the other names along with the character and sometimes the author.

Cheating husband clichés...

Wife suspects, hires a PI.

Wife comes home early and finds husband in bed with someone else.

Wife catches STD and knows she caught it from her cheating husband, as she didn't cheat and she knows she did catch it from a toilet seat.

Husband flaunts his girlfriend(s) in front of his wife.

Now these too, can end in several ways. From burn the bastard to reconciliation at all costs.

Then there are the alternatives...

The husband doesn't care whether she is cheating in fact he encourages it.

The wife doesn't care as long as he doesn't bother her and/or what she is doing with her boyfriend or girlfriend.

They both like what is happening and become swingers.

The only one I will never write is where the husband is subservient/submissive to the wife or a wimp as some readers like to call husbands like that. But I guess there are some men that enjoy that kind of thing and I won't put them down for that but, I am certainly not one of them.

Now if I have missed any and almost any that might be added will most likely belong to one or more of the clichés above, but if you think of one, add a comment and I will look into it.

Have I run out of ideas? Not really, it's just now they are a variation on a theme set of stories.

After starting this thread and reading through it hit me how often I've used porn shoots in my threads.

I have three that are taboo, a brother/sister then Mom/son outright porn shoot(won't bore you with background other than bad situations and serious money being offered)

A novel length Mom story featured a retired porn star going back into the industry as a milf and there are several on set shoots of her pretending to be a mom and ultimately she sleeps with her own son, although not on video.

This years Next Milf Porn star is another case of an older woman who needs money in a hurry and gets desperate, no taboo

So apparently I like porn.

It's peculiar, maybe, that I don't write much in the porn genres that I watch. When I watch porn videos.

I keep in mind that I'm probably the only person aware of the repetitions that do occur in "Overdon's" writing. Most readers who read one of our books will probably read only that one, or that chapter, and it's doubtful that anyone who does follow us pays close, close attention to the details.
