I was searching my e-mails looking for something from awhile back, and saw one from the Legendary Many Feathers, who sadly may no longer be with us as his last update in 2013 was he was recovering from a massive stroke, and nothing has been seen from him since. But when I saw it, I recalled that in addition to at one point being the #1 most faved author here around the time I came along, he had a ton of contest wins, and I decided to go see how many.

16

Question is, is there anyone higher? How could it be searched?

I also have a feeling if there's someone higher it would be a case of a 100 chapter series scoring 4.99 on 26 votes and continuously winning monthlies in the same category. So for me, I'd also like to see who has the most, but in the most categories. Many Feathers 16 are spread out in 8 categories.

Well, I went straight to Silk's page and counted 22 20 ;)
No idea if anyone has more than her though.

I don't know why I didn't think to check her page. Makes sense seeing she's #1 here and with more than 2&3 combined.
Some of her titles are just so "porno" they're eye rolling, but can't question the success.

I believe there is a minimum of 50 votes to be eligible in the monthlies, except for in those categories where no one ever gets that many votes.

I've got three wins in six years, so I am on track to take the lead in forty years or so.

I don't know if there's an easy way to search for authors by number of contest wins.

This will find all contest winning stories: https://search.literotica.com/?query=a OR the&sort=date&winner=true&page=1

But then you'd have to go through all 25 pages of hits to count up the authors with most wins and categories, or write a script to do it.
Thanks for the link. I have little patience and can't write a script, but I book marked it just as a cool thing to browse through at some point

You're right, its 50 for a monthly(although I keep thinking it could have been 25 at some point and was changed for the reason I mentioned) and its 25 for the themed contests.

Just going to someone's page and counting won't be accurate. I have a couple of stories that have won more than once. Like a monthly and a years end or a contest and a years end.

Thanks for that. I forgot contest wins can qualify for the annuals.
But I doubt that's happened that often.

That is me, right there. Only an interesting bet or something like that would make think about participating :p
That's me these days, I enter if either I feel some type of personal challenge to do so or someone eggs me on for one reason or another.
This last one was the "mic drop" challenge from another author, as well as completing my bucket list to get 10 W's.

So moving forward I'm not sure when I'll enter again. Sooner or later you have to know when to fold em.

Have you actually participated? Many authors don't do contests. ;)

Oh I've done several.

It's not like I worry about it. I enter the contests for fun if I have an idea.

But I've never expected to win or anything.

If it happens some time, great.

But I'm not like upset about it or anything.

Like that lottery slogan, you can't win if you don't play.

But he had one in Nude day.

Not quite true! Some contests are not deliberately entered. Annual category contests. Monthly contests. My one and only W was earned for my Toy story Teddy Bear, which won in the Toy category for the year 2021. I didn't enter anything.

I've never come close in a contest I deliberately entered.

I think I "won" a monthly once; never got a notification or anything but someone mentioned they saw my story on a list and congratulated me.

I don't even remember which one now lol. It's not labeled or anything, and I don't recall any huge influx of readers from it.
