Places of Note:
- The World
- Alice Springs:
- A place of significance to Mayima and place where she and the Male Lead first met.
- A crystal clear pool fed by a 20 foot waterfall fed from a series of springs.
- A quiet, isolated place populated only by birds, fish, and other smaller creatures
- The Great Black Mountains: the range running the length of the peninsula on which Alice Springs is located.
Things Worth Remembering:
- The Great Uprising:
- For 20 years, Lord Barrab had been conquering territories across the World.
- Finally, knowing that if conflict continued between them, the Free Nobles and Warrior Chieftains joined together again Lord Barrab under the concept of hostis meus hostis est meus amicus,, or the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
- In just over 9 months, Barrab was dead, his armies were defeated, his great cities were destroyed, his fleets were sunk or abandoned, and the Black Guard had disbanded.
- Tens, possibly hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children were killed by the Free Nobles to ensure they did not simply shift their loyalties to Barrab's successor.
- Even before the Great Uprising had fully completed its task, the Free Nobles and Warrior Chieftains were once again at war with one another, fighting over the scraps of the Empire they'd destroyed.
- The Black Guard:
- The elite warrior force of Lord Barrab prior to his death.
- They were recognized by their black leather armor, distinct weapons, and powerful black steeds.
- Most of the Guard were killed during the Great Uprising.
- Survivors disappeared into the World, some becoming mercenaries, common soldiers, or officers under the command of their former enemies; or faded into the world, becoming farmers, ranchers, smithies, craftsmen, or fishers.
